  1. We have Eventing Nation's twitter again.
  2. In about 10 minutes the 2nd horse inspection for eventing will start. This one will be the more important as horses still need to be fit after XC. Sadly, we usually lose few riders after this, but keeping my fingers crossed it goes well. Meanwhile, yesterday we had horse inspection for dressage. 58/60 have passed yesterday. Truppa's Chablis and Nilshagen's Dante Weltino didn't pass and they will be re-inspected today.
  3. 16 riders retired or got eliminated so the answer is yes.
  4. It's sad that Ruta and Franklin are so off form in these Olympics If nothing else, I suppose 7th place is still less heartbreaking than finishing 4th because of "miss swimming"...
  5. LOL, I've never said anything about not being a fan of Jung or Germany. I've always supported Germany in equestrian, especially in dressage (even though you are starting to make it hard so I'll just ignore you from now on and enjoy the competition). 1) Again it was in Normandy 2014, 54/91. 2) Again, it was in Normandy 2014 Refusals are part of this sport. You've never followed this closely so you don't understand, I'm not playing to be an expert in sports I don't follow closely. Olympics are supposed to be even tougher than WEG or Europeans because they are 3* competitions while Olympics is 4*. If you have ever watched a 4* competition then you would know that commentator there just keeps talking about refusals and stops on course that happen because they happen all the time, and they are supposed to happen as it is part of the sport.
  6. Who is this EDIT: Ah, our commentator made it like a huge surprise. European bronze medalist it seems
  7. Yeah! No gold for that cow. Sad for Ruta though
  8. Peirsol almost gone
  9. Wow, I didn't expect gold for Hosszu here. Another swimming medal for Canada
  10. I'm afraid we are going to have a horrible night.
  11. Korakaki won the first shooting medal for Greece since 1920. (11 medals between 1896 and 1920)
  12. Oh no, medal for one of those "horse meat eaters" from Kazakhstan
  13. Baru Great performance for tripartite athlete.
  14. What happened to Chen? Injury? It's unclear to me.
  15. Are you suggesting something? I'm intrigued
  16. Australians are the Olympic champions but they keep defending I find it strange
  17. 24-5 with 3 min to go. Surely it's impossible for NZ now
  18. Australia is amazing.
  19. Save of the day
  20. Our shooting team is doing amazingly well Let's celebrate this
  21. That Kenyan qualified only after South Africa declined the continental quota! Kudos for him!
  22. No, you don't realize that this outcome was nothing extraordinary in terms of mistakes. Olympics are 4* level competition and in such competitions (like Badminton or Burghley) almost half of competitors get eliminated quite often. Also it happens at championships: at 2014 WEG 28/91 didn't finish. At 2015 Europeans 20/60 didn't finish. You notice only when Germany makes mistakes? Wanting cross-country with no refusals is almost like wanting jumping with no fences down. I'll stop with this "discussion" now as I have better things to do
  23. Looks like Klimke wasn't eliminated at the end (they also reinstated Linda Algotsson). So Germany is back in 4th place teamwise I'm not completely familiar with the rules there so don't know whether they should have been eliminated or not
