    I mean 2023 Worlds in Budapest. Is there a single ranking of relay teams during the qualification period or do you have to compile one yourself based on the 2022 and 2023 top lists? Edit: Nevermind. I didn't realise relays are in the road to Budapest rankings.

    I think that Nikolaev will have trouble changing his sports nationality to Australia with World Aquatics' updated nationality rules because he hasn't even been living Australia for a year yet let alone three years. Kirpichnikova on the other hand has been living in France for quite a while hasn't she? I wonder if World Aquatics changed the rules because they were anticipating a flood of Russians switching nationality.

    On day one at Aussie Champs Mollie O'Callaghan produced a world leading time (52.63) in the 100 free followed closely by Shayna Jack (52.64) and another four swimmers in the 53 zone (McKeon, Harris, Wilson and Campbell). The biggest shock was Sam Short also producing a world leading time (3:42.46) in the 400 free! 🔥🔥

    I hope WA forces them to adopt the new regulations in order for meets to be sanctioned and count towards worlds qualification.

    16 year old Cameron Myers took down another one of Ingebrigtsen's age world bests today at Aussie Champs with 3:38.02 in the 1500.

    It also helps that you can cruise the heats but in the shape Summer is in that probably doesn't matter. I think the 200 IM is more in reach than the 200 FL provided her breaststroke is on song.

    While the 4IM is on the final day she will probably have two days off before it.

    If Paltrinieri were going to break the 1500 WR he'd have got it already imo so I think it's safe. Sjostrom set the 50 and 100 free world records at 2017 worlds.
