  1. Can also view the entries there but they're unfortunately not sorted by entry time.
  2. No surprise they hadn't collected enough samples. Anti-doping is very poorly funded in tennis. I haven't read the whole report but I saw it mentioned elsewhere that they didn't pursue her in 2014 and 2017 because of a lack of data (AKA not enough samples collected). I wonder how many other athletes have been flagged in this manner but continue to compete because the anti-doping system is underfunded.
  3. American girls dominating quite a few of those top 10s. Most shocking one is the 200 back with 7/10 and then 200 free with 6/10.
  4. Oh also if you ever notice any problems with Nuoto's rankings they're usually pretty quick to fix them if you report them via the email on the website.
  5. The WA ranking often has some weird entries (usually CLB) but I didn't merge them manually so I just learn to ignore the weird ones. A couple of years ago I remember they imported results from a meet in the US which had SCY for prelims and then LCM for finals and didn't exclude the SCY times so naturally the top times in every event were all SCY times. And as you've found about Nuoto sometimes the DOBs are wrong.
  6. @Topicmaster1010This is much more complete than my World Aquatics + Nuoto merged ranking (see attachment). Are you doing a girls edition? One thing that's really annoying about the WA ranking is some swims that are really good for a junior aren't good enough to make the top 200. They need an option to list the top 200 junior swims. juniors.txt
  7. Normally Southam wouldn't be eligible but they changed the selection criteria this year so that juniors can get plenty of experience leading into Paris. That said his leg was pretty mediocre tbh. I hope it was just one bad swim and he's not off form.
  8. A week until Junior Worlds. It's been four years since the last time it was held with all the major countries present. Edit: Just remembered there'll be no Russia again and wouldn't be surprised if China sends a weak team or no team at all with the Asian Games coming up.
  9. The morning sessions are easiest to watch in East Asia and Oceania. I've only watched replays of the evening sessions.
  10. Ta Lou jogging an 11.0.
  11. More countries can field a competitive team in the mixed 4x4 than the single gender 4x4s so I don't see them getting rid of it.
  12. It's better without little q.
  13. There's not gonna be enough demand for three categories so there'll eventually be two: female and open
  14. I completely missed this when it was posted a month ago but WADA is now using the ABP to screen for HGH, IGF-1 and steroid usage. https://www.wada-ama.org/en/news/wada-publishes-new-athlete-biological-passport-guidelines-and-announces-webinars-upcoming
  15. I figured as much when there was no statement from a more official source like AIU, World Athletics or even Amusan. It seemed like the Nigerian press were confusing her being on the entry list with her being cleared to compete.
  16. Anyone know why USA has five entries in the men's 200? Should be three plus a wildcard for Lyles no? 3007 Noah LYLES USA 18 Jul 97 19.31 19.47 1 3003 Erriyon KNIGHTON USA 29 Jan 04 19.49 19.72 2 2969 Kenneth BEDNAREK USA 14 Oct 98 19.68 19.82 12 3006 Courtney LINDSEY USA 18 Nov 98 19.85 19.85 16 2998 Fred KERLEY USA 7 May 95 19.76 19.86 14
  17. No way he came up with this statement himself.
  18. Another DSD athlete banned from competing.
  19. They must be streaming the swimming over dialup.
  20. Another American thrower banned eh. That's two this year both with quite short 16 month suspensions.
  21. Anyone know how this can be followed? Live results? Stream?
  22. 1) But you are ignoring it. You've basically decided that a historically fast (#5 all time) short course 1500 isn't indicative of ability in the long course version which isn't untrue. And then you're comparing the 14:31 to his 14:10 from a year and a half ago as though he's supposed to have not progressed since then at all. At around the same age as Hafnaoui and Short Wellbrock had quite a lot of progression as well (see bottom). 2) Yes, it's easier to avoid incompetiton testing if you don't compete but as far as I can see Hafnaoui competed at more in season pool meets (complete with anti-doping because they were all top tier pro meets (TYR Pro and Mare Nostrum)) than Wellbrock did but he just didn't rest for them so the times aren't fast. I also imagine Hafnaoui is easy to find on Indiana University campus for out of competition testing. 3) Winnington and Short were really the only two contenders because Neill has shifted focus to IMs and and Horton just hasn't been good for years. Short also went 3:42 unrested in season in April. Just going over Wellbrock's progression in the 1500 to see what he was like around the same age as Short and Hafnaoui and Wellbrock dropped his 1500 PB by 19 seconds in 2018 alone which is more than Short did this year. Wellbrock 2016 14:55.49 2017 15:01.34 2018 14:36.15 <-- 19 second drop from PB, 25 second drop from previous season Short 2021 14:57.22 2022 14:48.54 2023 14:37.28 <-- 11 second drop If Hafnaoui had swum a long course 1500 at the end of 2021 instead of a short course one his long course PB would've been a lot faster already (probably low 14:40s) so the drop he had this year would have been smaller.
  23. Are you just going to ignore that Hafnaoui won silver in the 1500 at short course worlds in 2021 in a historically fast time behind Wellbrock who set the current world record? His long course 1500 PB remained stagnant because he spent last year focused on his studies in order to gain NCAA eligibility. Hafnaoui also beat Finke multiple times at TYR Pro meets earlier in the year so he was hardly mediocre all season long but it seems that some of the European guys pop big times early in the season (trials meets?) while Hafnaoui, Finke and Short don't need to peak until Worlds because they have no competition in their events from their own country.
  24. Probably not worthwhile going to Doha just for the sake of the men's 4x2.
