  1. Would love to see it. The first one is gonna be the most difficult.
  2. Guy won't be in the final and hopefully they can avoid using Burras cos that guy's like a random split generator.
  3. Was really looking forward to Zhang and Qin in particular. With each roster announcement it looks more and more like a glorified World Cup meet.
  4. Chinese roster announced:
  5. I was thinking of doing up an entry list based on last year's rankings and announced rosters but if you've already done it I won't bother.
  6. Is there gonna be a prediction contest for this championship? Gonna be more complicated to do up with so many athletes skipping.
  7. I do wish Australia had used this meet to give some young talents experience. Instead they persisted with their usual ridiculous qualifying standards
  8. James Guy has said all along he won't go but it's a shame Peters didn't take up the offer so they can field a men's medley relay. Will be most interesting to see if Peaty is moving towards his best form again.
  9. The Brits aren't messing around getting that 4x100 relay qualified. The roster is strong enough that they might not just get it qualified but also win both the men's freestyle relays. Freya Colbert Lauren Cox Kathleen Dawson Tom Dean Luke Greenbank Medi Harris Lucy Hope Anna Hopkin Joe Litchfield Max Litchfield Jack McMillan Adam Peaty Ben Proud Matthew Richards Duncan Scott Laura Stephens Jacob Whittle James Wilby Brodie Williams Abbie Wood
  10. I just already assumed that she is going to Paris. She is at this stage the favourite as reigning world champion. Is she skipping 2024 Doha Worlds?
  11. Australia will be sending a team of 47 athletes https://www.snow.org.au/news/gangwon-2024-winter-youth-olympic-games-team-announced-/
  12. Australia's team: Men Cameron McEvoy - 50FR 50FL Isaac Cooper - 50FR 50BK 50FL Jack Cartwright - 100FR Kai Taylor - 100FR 200FR Samuel Williamson - 50BR 100BR Elijah Winnington - 200FR 400FR 800FR Bradley Woodward - 50BK 100BK 200BK Nicholas Sloman - 10KM Kyle Lee - 10KM Bailey Armstrong - 5KM Robert Thorpe - 5KM Women Iona Anderson - 50BK 100BK Jaclyn Barclay - 50BK 100BK 200BK Abbey Connor - 200FL Jenna Forrester - 200BK 200IM 400IM Madeleine Gough - 800FR 1500FR 10KM Abbey Harkin - 100BR 200BR Shayna Jack - 50FR 100FR Moesha Johnson - 1500FR 10KM Kiah Melverton - 200FR 400FR 800FR 400IM Alexandria Perkins - 50FL 100FL Brianna Throssell - 50FL 100FL 200FL Chelsea Gubecka - 5KM Bianca Crisp - 5KM *I don't know what events they'll be entered in but I made a educated guess based on what QTs they have and the schedule. https://twitter.com/DolphinsAUS/status/1735430711019233675
  13. A comparison of QTs from four countries (JPN, ITA, AUS and GBR) with tougher standards than the official OQTs. Source
  14. It was not to be. Maybe the 200 free PB earlier in the session took it out of her so she could "only" go 57.79. Mollie put on a bit of a show in the 200 free going 1:54.36. It's gonna take a WR to beat her in Paris and even that might not be enough. Iona Anderson (100BK) and Thomas Neill (200FR) both earned themselves Doha QTs. Kaylee did as well (200FR) but she's already ruled out going.
  15. This WR has been on notice for a while now and I'm glad someone has finally done it even if I'm a little sad to see Hackett lose his last WR. I think it'll probably go down again in the near future.
  16. Kaylee got close her the 50 back WR today clocking 26.98 leading off a relay so maybe we're on 100 back WR watch again this week.
  17. The stream is geoblocked 😭
  18. The Gold Coast withdraws bid to host the 2026 Comm Games after failing to gain support from the state and federal governments (unsurprisingy). https://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/gold-coast-pulls-out-of-the-race-to-host-2026-commonwealth-games/yva09144e
  19. I have some sombre news for the Canadians here but Matt Temple just stole Josh Liendo's 100 fly Commonwealth record after clocking 50.25 at Japan Open http://swim.seiko.co.jp/en/2023/S70704/ranking/eng04R094.pdf It was a quite fruitful meet with lots of PBs from the Aussies including a national record by Sam Williamson in the 50 breast (26.51).
  20. She will probably get the QT for the 200 today.
  21. So is that the whole team that's going to Doha?
  22. Korea has a very strong chance of pushing Australia off the podium in the 4x2 next year and possibly even challenging for gold. China also looks on track to produce a very strong 4x2 team.
  23. Forgot the Italian open was on Gonna be a busy week with four biggish meets happening. Anyone know if there's an entry list for the Rotterdam Qualification Meet anywhere?
  24. The federations are responsible for running each sport at the Olympics so they'd have the documentation you're looking for. For example the competition regulations are here for aquatics.
  25. Hopefully it costs a fortune for very little gain.
