  1. Looks like Canada will play for bronze tonight. China making the shots look easy, Canada struggling besides those two nice shots last end.
  2. Also curling will have the semis and final tomorrow, so good chance there as well. Hockey semi against Korea, too. Big day! Edit: The schedule I was looking at was wrong. Curling will have semis and bronze medal game tomorrow. Gold game will be on Saturday. Let's hope Canada plays Saturday.
  3. That was a fantastic game, especially the last 2 ends. Thurston with absolute clutch shots in both those last two ends to get the win. Props to Norway, they almost took it. Yay, playoffs!
  4. Another easy miss. Thurston needs to take a rest, I think. The last 3 games have been terrible for him.
  5. I swear to god our curlers are trying to lose. Even after another bad game, an easy draw to tie in the 8th, comes up way short. They won't even make the playoffs now in all likelihood. I'm going to not watch the next game and see what happens.
  6. And Canada gives up 4 in the 6th end. Absolute shitshow. Korea runs their stones through the house, miss everything and Canada still manages to give up points. Apparently the rot of Curling Canada has spread everywhere.
  7. Apparently I have to stop watching curling because Canada has absolutely sucked the last two games, the only ones I've watched.
  8. Pretty ridiculous that they don't even show the last shot of the game. On replay it looked pretty good. GG Sweden.
  9. I live in Beijing, and the weather has taken quite a sudden turn. It is quite beautiful and warm during the day now. Spring is here. Still cold at night, though.
  10. Great day for Canada! Curling is having a bit of trouble right now, though (maybe I need to stop watching live?)
  11. I normally agree that sport should be left out of politics. However, in ancient Greece warring factions would agree to a ceasefire in order to participate in the Olympics. In this case, Ukrainian athletes are unable to participate in several cases due to Russia's illegal invasion. It would be incredibly poor optics to allow Russian athletes to travel the world freely and compete for their country while their government prevents competitors from Ukraine to do the same. Further, in an effort to avoid all out physical war, countries are attempting to end this as peacefully as possible. Excluding and embarrassing Russia, including through sport, is part of that effort. Banning Russian sports teams and athletes actually is an attempt at peace.
