  1. Maybe just bought 3-year television rights.
  2. Oman successfully created complexity in our group.
  3. Trump doing U-turns is just a typical reflection of 2-party political system in US. I mean it's not a personal Trump stuff, it may apply to every GOP member. What else you may expect him to say like "Thanks my successor to fulfill my to-do list and take the blame I deserved"? Hell no. GOP will only take advantage of this chaos as an opportunity to affect midterm elections. It's just very pure politics.
  4. Well it's kinda right that if failed to transfer the equipment to US then should destroy/bomb them. Otherwise it's a huge amount of money for Taliban sell them in black market especially something like helicopter .
  5. Look back what I said in June 23rd. From that time on, Chinese government kept urging all citizens leaving Afghanistan and offering help to book commercial flight tickets. It even warned that everyone chose to stay should bare all responsibility so zero evacuation flights from China after the takeover. Even what US predicted is right that ex-Afghan government could persist another 90 days, it didn't necessarily mean that Western citizens and at-risk Afghans should be evacuated at last 15-30 days. Given August 31st deadline is set, all civilian evacuation should be prior of that. The withdrawal is inevitable but could be much more decent and well-ordered.
  6. What US and some its value sharing allies don’t understand is that in poor countries with poverty what people urgently need is not freedom or democracy. They may even never think about that. What they need is food and clean water. The next step is meat, shelter and land. The next next step is money, education and healthcare. The final is step is dignity, recognition, freedom and democracy. But the west just skip all this and tell them democracy cures all and you should fight and die for it.
  7. Very smart person. It is his decision to pull out but it is Biden to take the blame. And always say something understandable to please supporters.
  8. I love this comedian who always suddenly say some simple common sense that other typical politicians would never say.
  9. I am not an expert of Muslim issues. But I guess Shias Iranian will not support Sunnis Taliban. For China, we don't care who's in charge, democracy or not, we just want a stable government to do business.
  10. Some extent of chaos is within expectation, but airplane taking off with people clinging on the surface and seeing them dropping off is totally beyond my imagination. Firstly I saw it reported by Russian media and I thought it’s fake news.
  11. it is even more chaotic and horrifying than Saigon if the video is true.
  12. According to KHL official website, China already neutralized 15 Asian-rooted players and another 10 local Chinese players will join the team soon. Now I will upgrade my expectation a little bit. https://en.khl.ru/clubs/kunlun/team/
  13. TBH I don't know either for women's normal life. I guess Taliban will make some progress to please major powers to earn their recognition. I hope the progress is not just a show but normality. Anyway, the first step of normal life is that you and your beloved don't have to fear to die. If Afghan women and men could safely survive and make a living without fear of sudden explosion is already a progress towards normality and already better than Syria. Any other improvements can only be gained step by step by their own.
  14. People think Saigon 1975 is betrayal and abandonment. But it's just from western perspective full of arrogance. For Vietnam it's the ending of war, ending of chaos. It means they don't have to pick a side to fight and die meaninglessly. They can start to focus on survival, food, education and economy instead of death for democracy, freedom, liberalism or communism. Vietnam is much better than most westerners anticipated and Saigon is a very prosperous city nowadays thanks to ending of the war. So US is not god who should be responsible for Vietnamese or Afghan's future. It isn't supposed to be there at the very beginning and have no right to help locals to choose a "democratic" government. It's better late than never of US withdrawal.
  15. During the OG, I am just too focused on games and I censored all kinds of news from real world. But now it’s time to back to reality. It may sounds cruel but I do support US and its allies withdrawal from Afghan. An foreign forces made government is without futures. It’s fate is leaning on the extent of foreign interference. Once it’s abandoned, it’s definitely gonna be miserable. The future of Afghan should be shaped by its own people with or without violence. Well the fate of the weak is never on its own. When to enter and when to leave your country is never up to you. Good luck to Afghan people.
  16. Have faith on yourself. You are just 100% correct.
  17. The first "rumor" I saw is that Sapporo, Japan showed interest. But my common sense tell me it's just rumor.
  18. Proud to see 0 "EL" in equestrian and that's my goal (maybe also theres)
  19. The Chinese Ice Hockey team just went to Russia and supposed to be trained and attend KHL and WHL there until the WOG. They are weak but at least they are training hard. And sorry to @hckošice it's very unlikely to see men's team's withdrawal now.
  20. I am quite grateful that Japan successfully host this very different OG despite all kinds of difficulties including internal protests and rapidly changing COVID situation. It is not wonderful since there is no spectators but it's respectful to fulfill its commitment to the international society. So I would not ask too much from Japan, on the contrary I am grateful of what they offered. I am not satisfied with the creepy opening ceremony and I don't like Japanese athletes sometimes over-scored on sports judged by referees. But when it all ends, that feeling is just let go. I began to appreciate that it's quite difficult to host the games with so much pressure and you can't require the host to benefit 0 with so much cost. So I would like to sincerely thank Japan. It provided a wonderful stage for athletes and provided so much joy, excitement, up and downs for fans. Arigoto Nippon . Lastly hope we can have spectators in Beijing 2022. If so I will wave my hands in TV.
  21. Any news about which ten classes will appear on Paris 2024? We will have new manmade OR and WR soon again.
  22. 1. I rated 8/10. We have a big recovery from Rio flop. Our traditional sports like diving, weightlifting, table tennis are consistent while badminton and gymnastics are recovered from Rio underperformance. Swimming and Athletics are a little bit better than I thought, we have first swimming relay gold and first field events gold. Rowing, Canoeing and Sailing all received at least one gold and all receiving medals on men's events. What disappointed me is that we have no golds on combat sports with 5 silvers and 4 bronzes. We have to strengthen combat sports for next OG. 2. Surprises go to WR and gold on swimming 4*200 women's free relay and gold of swimming men's 200m IM. Also shooting with 4 golds are also beyond my expectation. Heatbreaks go to Women's Volleyball eliminated on group stage and no golds on Taekwondo, 4-time olympian Wu Jingyu gonna retire again without a medal. 3.The overall goal is definitely achieved. The performance of most sports are beyond or meet expectations. Only combat sports are a little disappointing. 4.Sports with potential and receiving good results in Tokyo will be much more invested for sure. These sports are Rowing, Canoeing and Sailing. These sports are already "rich" compared to some combat sports like wrestling, with gold in pocket and breakthrough on men's events, they will receive more fund from authority and got more sponsorship. Swimming and Athletics also will get more investment in terms of training conditions and equipment, foreign coaches and more international tournaments opportunities.
  23. 1. Boomed out early 2. Russia’s performance deserved the gold 3. 200m fly got it and breaking OR 4. got it with PB 5. Bronze medal is already a breakthrough for men’s rowing
  24. So the actual answer is 38 Golds and 88 Medals. I think my prediction is quite accurate. Medals and golds number are both correct for Artistic Swimming, Basket 3*3, Canoeing Sprint, Fencing, Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Rowing and Weightlifting. At least one of medals or golds number correct for Athletics, Badminton, Cycling Track, Diving, Karate and Table Tennis. Sailing and Shooting are beyond estimation while Archery, Boxing, Volleyball and Taekwondo are under estimation. Below is the prediction vs. actual by sport: Archery - 2 vs. 0 Artistic Swimming - 2 vs. 2 Athletics - 8 (2 Gold) vs. 5 (2 Gold) Badminton - 6 (1 Gold) vs. 6 (2 Gold) Basket 3x3 - 1 vs. 1 Boxing - 3 (1 Gold) vs. 2 Canoeing Sprint - 3 (1 Gold) vs. 3 (1 Gold) Cycling Track - 1 vs. 1 (1 Gold) Diving - 10 (7 Gold) vs. 12 (7 Gold) Fencing - 1 (1 Gold) vs. 1 (1 Gold) Gymnastics Artistic - 8 (3 Gold) vs. 8 (3 Gold) Gymnastics Trampoline - 3 (1 Gold) vs. 3 (1 Gold) Karaté - 2 (1 Gold) vs. 2 Rowing - 3 (1 Gold) vs. 3 (1 Gold) Sailing - 1 vs. 2 (1 Gold) Shooting - 5 (2 Gold) vs. 11 (4 Gold) Swimming - 8 (2 Gold) vs. 6 (3 Gold) Swimming Marathon - 1 vs. 0 Table Tenis - 7 (5 Gold) vs. 7 (4 Gold) Taekwondo - 3 (1 Gold) vs. 1 Volleyball - 1 (1 Gold) vs. 0 Weightlifting - 8 (7 Gold) vs. 8 (7 Gold) Wrestling - 2 vs. 4 Total 89 vs. 88 Gold 36 vs. 38
