Quotas distribution by my friends and my understanding of the document and past experience of 2018 WOG.(mainly credit to @Function CR Lee). Some notes of it: 1. BEL's Mixed relay berth is replaced by 13th POL because only 1 men and 1 women qualified 2. POL got an extra men's quota and KAZ got an extra women's quota to fulfill the minimum mixed relay requirement, ie 2 men and 2 women. 3. POL got an extra women's quota because after procedure 2 still one more women's quota available so it gave to the only women's relay team not full yet.

I did it by NOC too but we have difference. I don't go through all quotas yet but I always keep on eye on KOR's quotas so I am quite sensitive to our difference. Below is our paper sheet on Men's 500m and KOR is 36th.

May I confirm that you calculate the ranking by NOC1, NOC2, NOC3 of each stage and not by name? Because by my friends and my calculation, KOR3 is not on TOP32 on Men's 500m nor Women's 500m. Our work is not finished yet and still checking but I want to confirm the method first.

It's the Olympic venue. Basically Taiwu and Secret Garden are at the same place(Chongli, Zhangjiakou) but run by different enterprises.

Today's ski cross world cup in Zhangjiakou is the second WOG test event with spectators. Different from the Luge event that I knew the spectators news from media, I can see the crowds clearly on live with some close-up views today.

From Chinese OG champion Yang Haoran who attend a briefing session for athletes during President Cup, 1. 2022 WCh will allocate up to 1 quota per event for each NOC 2. 2023 continental championships will allocate up to 1 quota per event for each NOC 3. rest quotas will by allocated by ranking and no quotas will be allocated through World Cup. It may change because of feedbacks from different sides.

Though I understand that OCA wants to make it step by step to get Oceania involved into Asian Games, I think Oceania should be counted on medal table and receiving identical medals. Furthermore, I think we should treat Oceania as Asian countries in terms of sports games or federations. I would like to see more OG quotas allocated to Asia and Oceania combined. The reason is quite simple. Australia takes advantage of current quota allocation system. Firstly and obviously enough, Australia earn a lot of team sports quotas almost in a free path as Oceania representative. Moreover, if Australia finds themselves cannot earn the free quota then they choose to join Asia federation and takes advantage of us, especially FIFA world cup. When they find the 0.5 Oceania quota is useless they just quit. So to be fair, I would rather Oceania joins Asia system wholly instead of picking some sports favoring themselves and I also would like to see Asian Games and other continental events more competitive with the Oceanian teams.

Luge World Cup in Beijing became the first WOG test event with spectators. Last night's match invited 300 Yanqing (Beijing suburb) local spectators. Though still no tickets publicly available, hopefully it's one more step closer for me to get ticket during WOG.

I am not sure if China team pursuit got provisional quota despite of DQ. But I tend to think we are provisionally qualified based on my own interpretation of the document. I think as long as we are on top 11 (8 qualified teams + 3 reserve list teams) then we are qualified. Since there are only 11 teams registered so China is qualified for sure. I am eager to know others' thought about it and below is the qualification document and the relevant part. D.2.2 If the host country does not earn at least two (2) quota places in the 500m, 1000m, 1500m, Mass Start (Women and Men), 3000m Women and 5000m Men and at least one (1) quota place in the 5000m Women and 10000m Men in D.2.1 but it has athletes who are placed in the respective events/distances Reserve List (as per D.2.5), for each individual event concerned the host country will be allocated event quota places considering also athletes ranked in the Reserve list, up to a maximum of two (2) athletes in the 500m, 1000m, 1500m, Mass Start (Women and Men), 3000m Women and 5000m Men and one (1) quota place in the 5000m Women and 10000m Men. For each of the Team Pursuit events the host country will be allocated an event quota place also in the case that the host country is only ranked in a Reserve list position. D.2.5 Reserve List When the maximum total of quota places for an event/distance (as specified above) has been reached, the next SOQC positions per event/distance will constitute a reserve list of quota places. For each of the individual events/distances the reserve list consists of eight (8) reserve quota places.
