To some of them it's going to be a 200m. semi-final

There are two words that I'd use to describe the performance of our 800m. girls. Utter disappointment The one that ran in the second heat didn't even look like she was trying to not finish dead last in her heat. Edit: Scratch that, the 5.37 from our 6 meter jumper is even more of an utter disappointment.

I demand an explanation!

I am very hyped for the afternoon session Very interesting if we sneak through the final in the men's high jump, women's long jump and men's discus. We're definitely not favourites to make it though. Then women's 800m. is hype, because it's a tactical race as well, so both of our girls have a possibility to sneak through to the semi. Lastly, two boys in the mens' triple jump (complete outsiders, but we never even qualify to men's triple jump, so yay history) and 2000m. SC our girl has a shot to make the final.

European Athletics does not have commercials though, they even showed the boys javelin, both groups.

At the moment, Lithuania is looking sub-par in these championships. Alanas Tautkus qualified in the semi of 100m. backstroke and Kotryna Teterevkova nearly made it in the final of 50m. breaststroke and qualified to this evening's 200m. breaststroke semifinal. Every other athlete went out in the first round.

And we have our first (hopefully not last) final for Lithuania Dominykas Čepys, 18.00, 7th qualifier.

A bit disappointing when you see that if our runners got close to their SBs, they'd be in semi-finals.

Maybe the heptathlon won't be that one sided as I originally thought

Unless there's an unlikely XXX in some event, I'd say the gold for heptathlon is already clear and some might say it was already clear after the U18 WCH

As always, the heptathlon hurdles are famous for destroying hopes of young athletes Two years ago it was our girl that finished her heptathlon after an injury in the hurdles, then she went on to win a bronze medal in the U18 World Championship.

I do agree with some points on it, although there are more interesting talents. Maria Vicente (heptathlon) looks very promising and interesting to watch. Olegs Kozjakovs (decathlon) is very talented. Marie Scheppan for Germany is already running 400m. quicker than the qualification mark for ECH and others.

I did the SB check on every athlete to track how it is expected for our athletes to perform. 11 athletes are expected to hit top 20, with three athletes landing at 13th at best. So unless some magic happens, semi-finals and lucky finals are our best bet

I admit, I have an extreme soft spot for athletics and I have a problem I have a lot of excel files following the qualifications of every year and I update them after every single minor event daily My friend that works in Athletics is annoyed with my extreme passion for U20 and U18 athletics

It's a bit awkward when it feels like I'm the only person genuinely extremely hyped for this event even when we don't have medal hopes
