  1. I've heard there's 20 less quotas for Biathlon. That's all I know at the moment.
  2. The Netherlands need a drastic change in coaching staff. @heywoodu promised his fans to tackle top 45 and yet it did not work out in the end.
  3. Well, the final day of U20, was fairly okay for us. Martynas Alekna finished 10th in the Discus Throw final and Urtė Baikštytė improved her PB up to 1.87 and finished 6th.
  4. Lithuanian national 200m. record falls yet again. This is the third time this year that Agnė Šerkšnienė betters the time, it now stands at 22.99
  5. Well, Alekna made it to the discus final, that's something that I haven't imagined writing for a long time Anyways, with Andrius Gudžius, Domantas Poška (that's already throwing 62 metres and is trained by Olympic discus champion Ubartas), two sons of Virgilijus Alekna and Makaravičius brothers, our discus throwing future looks stacked
  6. And injury takes away our second final of the day Heartbroken
  7. And a PB for Urtė Baikštytė with flawless jumping today. She jumped 1.84 and is in the final. An amazing day for our athletics!!!
  8. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Akvilė Andriukaitytė, 23.35, new U20 NR for Lithuania and a qualifying time for Berlin!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, Urtė Baikštytė remains flawless in the high jump at 1.82 and equals her PB of 1.82, probably going to the final with this one. .
  9. I honestly do not understand. Is IAAF trolling us? Yesterday they showed that Bačianskaitė jumped 1.65 successfully, but after a 5-7 minute break they changed that she went out in 1.62... Today, she jumps 5.60 on her third attempt. 3-4 minutes later I come back to the live results to see an X instead of the result. Seriously, fuck this...
  10. Gabija Galvydytė with a new U20 NR in 400m. Hurdles. She might have been 16th today, but she's 4th among the U20 European Championships athletes for next year.
  11. I don't know what happened in Heptathlon. It said that Bačianskaitė jumped 1.65 in XO, then after all the other ladies finished that height, the live results were stuck and after a good 7-8 minutes, Bačianskaitė was now XXX on 1.65. I do not understand what happened, but that completely killed our Heptathlete's chances at a PB.
  12. Woah, Shukh is out of Heptathlon Should be an easier road for Lagger now?
  13. [hide] Knockout Round June 30th - July 15th, 2018 16 Nations, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Third Place Match and Final Third Place Match Date & Time Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 14th 2018, h. 17:00 (GMT+3) Belgium 1 2 England Final Date & Time Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 15th 2018, h. 18:00 (GMT+3) France 3 1 Croatia [/hide]
  14. The real question is if Shukh is going to be a gold medalist before even starting the Heptathlon tomorrow
  15. OMG, what a wonderful start to the U20 Championships for Lithuania Galvydytė after a season of injuries managed to take the third qualifying spot in the final heat of the 400m. Hurdles and Okulič-Kazarinaitė went through as the 5th fastest qualifier. Nobody here would have bet on a semi-final for both
  16. Ironically, on the day of women's discus qualification, I just watched Agnė Jonkutė throw 48m+ for the standard literally at the same time when qualification group A was going on What a way to miss out
  17. Forgot to mention yesterday that Agnė Šerkšienė broke the national 200m. record for the second time this year, improving the mark up to 23.13
  18. @prso1000 @hckosice I see that it's a common tendency in this years U20 to have a small team. They changed up the rules and the qualification period did not start January 1st 2017 as usual, but actually started after the Summer season, from October 1st 2017. This left three of our athletes that had a qualifying mark result last summer back at home, because they couldn't repeat the performance. Our decathletes, one had 1 competition to start in, whilst the other had 2 and same thing for our heptathletes. Other, slightly luckier disciplines had all in all 4-5 chances to start, some were luckier (those U20 that are better than the seniors). Lastly, our national U20 championship was held on the day for entry finalisation, so no results counted from there. This qualification period was a total mess, we were totally capable of sending at least 5 additional people if this summer season didn't end just when it started.
  19. What a shame, since Beach Volleyball is on the rise in Lithuania, I definitely expected we'd have a team here
  20. A nice way to end the championships. I've had my eye on Teterevkova for a while as she slayed competitions in Lithuania and she often beat Agnė Šeleikaitė, whom was a medalist in junior events as well, whilst being many years younger than her. This is definitely not the new Meilutytė, because I doubt that she might swim as fast, but Meilutytė is on a tremendous spiral of disappointing results, so I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of years, Kotryna is going to be our number 1.
  21. We're sending over a very small team, some of our athletes were really screwed up that the results from last summer season were not elegible as qualification marks. In our team, there's a Discus Thrower Martynas Alekna, the eldest son of Olympic Champion Virgilijus Alekna. Urtė Bačianskaitė for Heptathlon, she was the bronze medalist last year in the U18 World Championships. She's also entering in Shot Put. Gabija Galvydytė, 400m. Hurdles, she was 4th in the U18 World Championships last year, but this year she has had problems with injuries. Urtė Baikštytė, High Jump, silver medalist in the U18 European Championships 2016, but hasn't been looking that great ever since. Akvilė Andriukaitytė, 200m., started breaking Lithuanian U20 records this year and looking pretty great for at least a semi-final. Lastly, Rūta Okulič-Kazarinaitė (400m. Hurdles) and Austėja Kavaliauskaitė 10.000m. Walk - both have entered all of the championships of the prior age groups, but neither have reached any significant results.
