  1. I'm not much familiar with tennis terms, I thought it was just our crazy media thing
  2. In tennis they tend to say "Įteikė riestainį" when someone scores a 0 during a set. It would roughly translate into "Gave a doughnut"
  3. Today was the first day of the Baltic Athletics Match and Latvian President's Cup. It was a pretty amazing day for Team Lithuania. Simas Bertašius improved his 1500m. PB to 3:49.88, so the Lithuanian record is improved again this year and this time is enough for the European Championship qualification, so the record might still be improved this season. High class results in the javelin, our youngster and national record holder Edis Matusevičius after some injuries and complications had a 76m. SB prior to today and improved it to 82.67, only two meters away from his record. On the women's side, Liveta Jasiūnaitė also broke her PB and threw 61.61, getting closer to the national record as well. There are three PB's that I'd also like to mention: Akvilė Andriukaitytė 11.73 in women's 100m. and that's her second U20 discipline qualification, Diana Zagainova - U23 athlete jumped 13.74 in the triple jump, only 0.16 away from the ECH standard. Finally, a bit of surprise, Skirmantas Šimoliūnas threw the javelin at 79.56 and was very close to the ECH standard as well. He was a 77m. thrower with a 73m. SB prior to today. After such an eventful day, I'm expecting a lot of great action tomorrow as well.
  4. I've been away from here for a bit, but there was a lot of Athletics news for team Lithuania. Andrius Gudžius broke his PB two times and it's 69.59 now. Adding to that, he won one diamond league meeting and placed 2nd in two others. Airinė Palšytė is starting her season soon after a long hiatus. Two Lithuanian records were broken, both more than 20+ years old: 1500m. Simas Bertašius 3:40.41 and 200m. Agnė Šerkšnienė 23.21. Agnė has also ran 400m. in 51.32 bringing her up to second in the European ranking and a potential medalist at ECH with only her second competitive season after giving birth. On top of that, Athletics level is rising in our country as many youth and junior records are being broken left & right and center in disciplines such as 100m/200m. women, men and women discus, 800m. boys, pole vault boys and girls, men's shot put, women's 400m. Hurdles, Heptathlon, Decathlon and others. On top of that, there are still more senior records that are in danger for this season, not counting the ones that have already been improved: Men's marathon, women's 400m., women's triple jump, hammer throw, race walk 20/50km and some less likely ones such as men's/women's javelin throw, women's high jump.
  5. Team Lithuania has acquired the coach of Belarus B Team. Don't know yet if it's an upgrade or downgrade, but our women athletes were being beaten by his former athletes all season, so perhaps an upgrade?

  7. Yeah, the media's basically saying that LT United is no longer going to be our best result after today. Many articles comparing Donny Montell being 19th in the odds and finishing Top 10, "so that probably means that Ieva is going to do much better than 6th" they say Anyways, in my years of following Eurovision, I've yet to see the bookies SO unstable as country after country jumping 20 places in the order front and back. Especially my favourite performance - Ireland, that was roasted by the majority of tasteless Eurovision fans, climbing up to third in the bookies.
  8. I came back from my little trip, can't wait to watch the final
  9. I thought about doing this, but I wanted to do the semi-finals separately prior to that, especially since the 1st semi-final is considered the final of this year. 12 points - 10 points - 8 points - 7 points - 6 points - 5 points - 4 points - 3 points - 2 points - 1 point - and Croatia just barely edged out Australia during the rehearsals for me, although I still love Ukraine, France, starting to warm up to Albania.
  10. Woah, Brigita Virbalytė-Dimšienė almost broke the national record in 20km Race Walk with a HUGE PB of 1:29:02 (bettered by a minute and the NR was 1:29:01) and 10th place in the World Race Walk Team Championships Vaiciukevičiūtė twins finishing 25th and 50th respectively and I believe we placed 5th amongst the teams and that's some good money for our race walkers
  11. Olga Podchufarova is added to the list of retirees.
  12. Adding more context, they found Nandrolone, Oxymetholone, Metandienone, Oxandrolone, two types of Testosterone, Xanax, Turabolone, Tribestan and Ethinylestradiol in his possesion
  13. Well, as expected Bronislovas feels very attacked and claims that someone's out to get him, how he's framed blah blah and blah. How he always said to his athletes that taking doping is bad and yeah, that's pretty much his side of the story.
  14. With the Italian win and @dezbee2008 hosting the upcoming TISC, it's nice to see the legendary TISC participants taking over the reigns as hosts, following so many prior hosts that have been here from the very first contest. It makes you wonder who could be the next best possible candidate and who would want it the most after The US and Italy are done I think a Croatian win would be a very popular affair, the logo would be stats
  15. I guess you'll have to go through 100+ pages of content and find out
  16. Yes, that's exactly what @vinipereira wants. More work right after this wonderful contest
  17. Welcome to the opening ceremony. It's now closed. Have a wonderful year. Sincerely, Brazil.
  18. From what I learned, @vinipereira likes to open things. He must love Christmas
  19. The fact that I only dropped out of the committee, because I placed the winner 13th last contest will spite me right until my grave
  20. Anyways, it doesn't seem that I missed a lot points wise and if my memory serves me right, after 40+ pages of reading, I have to thank @dcro @justony @Agger and @Bohemia I think I did it right? Congratulations to Italy, it will be extremely interesting to see how the biggest team hosts TISC in 2019 As for the Lithuanian result, well, i honestly thought this song had more of a commercial success and now I think that I'll be retiring songs in Lithuanian for a bit
  21. Anyways, before I'm leaving for the next 4-5 ish hours, I have a couple of words to say: The quality this year was amazing and as I've said, some of the songs that didn't score this year, would have easily made it into points in other contests. Firstly, Bulgaria @stefanbg you were in 13th for the longest time, I tried to think of ways how I could give this song a point, but the others kept edging you out in every listen. I also had Slovakia @hckosice in 14th, very nice, simple song, but I guess lacked a little bit that distinctiveness in order to edge out other songs. Algeria @bestmen you were 17th, I really liked the harmonies in your song. New Zealand @Wanderer you were up there too, but this time the NZ magic wasn't enough, but I give you points more often than I don't @heywoodu it's a little bit ironic, how the 1st time Kensington appeared, they were my twelve points, the second time in the middle of the pack with 6 points and now it just wasn't enough. And finally, the songs that did somehow get those points from me, it was an extremely tough battle and you've all sent lovely songs, good luck to you in the 3rd session
  22. did I comment something like that? I don't remember.
  23. GERMANY 12 GREAT BRITAIN 11 ITALY 10 SWEDEN 9 CROATIA 8 BRAZIL 7 NORWAY 6 SWITZERLAND 5 MEXICO 4 IRELAND 3 ESTONIA 2 PORTUGAL 1 < Atsiprašau, aš šiandien labai nekūrybingas > Anyways, the interesting story with my twelve points is that I actually spam listened to this song on Spotify before it was ever on TISC and I was surprised it was German. Had to stop listening to it, in case Bohemia stalked me on last.fm again Anyways, very glad to have catgamer back in our little family
  24. Does anybody have any guesses for my twelve points?
  25. Also guys and gals, mind explaining to me why you're abusing Great Britain?
