Honestly, the potato comes to mind instantly as you can prepare it in so many different ways. Baked, boiled, deep-fried, double baked and so on. Fresh picked peas are also a guilty pleasure of mine during the Summer. @heywoodu arch nemesis - corn - is also pretty great And I'd hardly survive without cucumbers and tomatoes
