  1. Germany getting more points from Malta than Italy... not a good sign for Italy.
  2. I mean, I am getting the impression that you have a significant number of English language songs to choose from. So technically Lithuania had a small, but still sizable chance to win some day. Hungary for example has a weird language and almost none of its artists make songs in English or in any of the popular languages. The chances of Hungary ever having a world famous singer is nonexistent.
  3. The Top4 is insanely close, probably the closest we've ever had after 20 nations.
  4. Hey, Colombia almost did it at Open 2017. It's possible, all you need is... one of most well-known Latin American songs of the past 20 years. (and you probably still lose to Ireland)
  5. I got curious about what are the top songs not in English per contest, just to see which nations have been most successful at sending non-English language songs. So for this break, here are the Top Non-English Language Songs per TISC: Open 2022 - - 4th place Annual 2022 - - 1st place Open 2021 - - 5th place Annual 2021 - - 4th place Open 2020 - - 6th place Annual 2020 - - 2nd place Open 2019 - - 4th place Annual 2019 - - 5th place Open 2018 - - 5th place Annual 2018 - - 1st place Open 2017 - - 2nd place Annual 2017 - - 3rd place Open 2016 - - 6th place Annual 2016 - - 2nd place Open 2015 - - 2nd place Annual 2015 - - 5th place Open 2014 - - 3rd place Annual 2014 - - 1st place Open 2013 - - 2nd place Yep, I think you all guessed which nation had the most number of Top Non-English language songs after 19 editions. 5 - 3 - 1 -
  6. still with a really high 6.64 PPJ. They got points from 11 nations out of 14. They are in the Top5 of 8 nations out of 14.
  7. I didn't really expect this contest to be the one where the US might finally win TISC for the first time, but I guess it would make sense?
  8. The Fencing World Cup will be the testing ground to see how fierce the resistance is. I can already tell you that the Hungarian fencers won't boycott, I think the Hungarian Olympic movement is in favor of letting Russians return. Will they allow them to compete in the team event? Because that would be a farce. It's one thing to let individuals participate, you can get away with it by saying that they are completely neutral athletes. But neutral teams don't exists. Those are teams from Russia in all but name.
  9. I think Denmark is now the 6th country to give 12 points to Hungary since I joined. 12 points to Open 2019 - Annual 2020 - none Open 2020 - none Annual 2021 - none Open 2021 - Annual 2022 - Open 2022 - Annual 2023 -
  10. 7.33 PPJ for after 9 juries. They would get 271 points by the end of the contest with this average. 6.77 PPJ for after 9 juries. They would get 251 points by the end of the contest with this average. As I said earlier, really good first session for the Top2 songs.
  11. Lol, the plot twist after getting 0 points until the end of the first session. Thanks Denmark!
  12. We almost never have a battle as clear as v this early on, I wonder if this will continue until the end.
  13. I am mostly shocked about . I also didn't think that would struggle this much.
  14. seems too obvious... but maybe it is? I would have guessed Greece but that's already up there.
  15. I think this might be the most "top heavy" contest we had in a while, the top songs are getting points from almost everyone so far, we don't have the usual early craziness. There will be some record breaking this time if it continues like this.
  16. If we don't count their own voting where they weren't eligible for points, this is the 5th medal in a row for Germany.
  17. 0 points after 6 countries, I guess this is what I get for not sending a quite popular English language song that we had by a Hungarian artist this year. It really is time for me to send something in English for the next contest.
  18. Huh, the English language bias is working even stronger than I expected, Top4 got point from all three countries so far and all of those 4 songs are in English.
  19. Huh, when was the last time the same country got the first two 12 points?
  20. I think we have a record low number of English language songs in this contest, so my prediction is that one of those few songs in English will win. Pretty good opportunity for , and for the few countries who went with an English language songs like India, Denmark, Germany.
  21. I think I also have a good idea on what's winning this time, but I am usually wrong, so... But I did get it right last time when France won!
  22. Well, my scorecard is the opposite of surprising this time. I am pretty sure this will be the most predictable 12 points I have ever given out, especially once you see the 2-12th placements and realize which song is missing.
  23. Yeah... we aren't coming back, ever. Hungarian society is so far removed from what Eurovision represents at this point that it might as well be in a different universe. We are a mini-Russia, and we are very determined to stay on this path for a long, long time.
