  1. narrowly behind the in pairs (with a SB) after a double footed landing on a thrown jump. It's so over for a medal in the team event.
  2. Is it bad that I want her to be off the podium just based on who she's dating? (But ya I agree she's the favourite)
  3. Never easy for at the Olympics :P
  4. I get that, but also the schedule for the first few days for Canada s really frustrating. Feels like we're kinda on pace for where we are "supposed" to be.
  5. It's been confirmed where? It's confirmed that it's considered for removal, but that's it as far as I know.
  6. Respectfully, there are never just two contenders in a Olympic (or Worlds) alpine skiing event. Weird stuff happens all the time, Breezy winning was weird but someone like Breezy winning is far from unprecedented (heck, the same thing happened at 2025 worlds, and it was *literally* Breezy who won there too).
  7. Canada won 14 at home with a smaller population and with less events, so really unless Italy wins 40 gold medals they are under performing.
  8. ya, Goggia just being at the Olympics is the win. Everything above that was a bonus. (And she already has a gold medal anyway!)
  9. Def was a bit of a jump scare xD
  10. Very. By all means if anyone disagree with me make your case, I'd love to be wrong xD
  11. Looking at the schedule for what is ahead, looking like at this point Canada's first realistic gold medal chance (as in, double digit chance, of course something weird could happen in, say, women's ski slopestyle or snowboard big air) is the short track mixed relay on Tuesday. Honestly might be our only "big" gold medal chance until Thursday.
  12. Ya, a bronze feels a lot better than a 4th, especially when you look back at things in hindsight.
  13. This is a podium that makes me feel that distance speed skating on the men's side is in a really great spot, with loads of young athletes really pushing the sport forward.
  14. This may be the worst prediction of all times xD
  15. Benjamin Karl isn't just "an Austrian", he's the GOAT of PGS and if anything he's unlucky to have "only" two Olympic golds xD
  16. I mean, I'd say like four golds is worth more than one gold and eight other medals, but that's just me.
  17. beat 3-2 (no dead rubbers) in the Davis Cup Qualifier first round, with two wins from Liam Draxl and a win from Gabriel Diallo. This means that in September will play for a spot in the 2026 Davis Cup quarterfinals.
  18. You're trying to do the jinx thing again aren't you? :P
  19. I don't think even prime Svensson (van der Poel) could beat this.
  20. Brett Gallant on the other hand... has had a rough couple days.
  21. What I find so frustrating is that I don't even know what (Curling Canada here, not this specific team) could have done better. They had the trials early, sent them to worlds, gave them plenty of time to prepare, and it's hard to imagine a pairing for Canada that is, on paper, much better. So is this a problem with how this team prepared, just bad luck? Unsure what lessons Curling Canada can take from this.
  22. Peterman is singlehandedly keeping Canada alive in this game
