  1. Just saw that Vittozzi won Finally an Olympic gold in biathlon for Italy.
  2. Really happy for Bankes. She’s been great for so many years, awesome to finally see her pull it together at the Olympics. Nightingale did a great job in the semis and the final as well, though the star of the team is obviously Charlotte.
  3. Also, I watched the men's moguls live (was up in the middle of the night x.x) and that was... not a great experience.
  4. That nine hour time difference man. Should have stayed with my mom for those Olympics, Atlantic time seems mighty appealing right about now T.T
  5. Just saw finished 5th in the men’s cross country relay, what a great result. I think they could be a medal favourite in the relay in four years.
  6. NBC brought up how much social media followers she's gained since winning gold - oh and that poor, sweet Jake Paul cried when she won. I almost barfed xD
  7. There was a smaller margin between 1st and 4th in the 5k...
  8. What an iconic Olympic performance by Brigone.
  9. Finally caught up on dual moguls (yay West coast), I was so nervous watching it. So, so happy Kingsbury won that!
  10. Walker had a chance to really stretch her country’s lead over in the medal table
  11. This was just a joke about Corona being the only beer offered in the Olympic venues.
  12. What's the story with Astrid Øyre Slind retiring for almost a decade before coming back to the sport at 35?
  13. Well that's some happiness I'm going to be taking away from these results, she definitively deserves it.
  14. 's best gold medal chance by far on Sunday is the men's dual moguls, but I really doubt there is any way Kingsbury wins that (I expect everyone to go all in against him and for the judges to go against him on any close dual). There is a very small chance wins the women's large hill in ski jumping, but we are talking low single digit percentage chance. Then there is the women's 1000m in short track. If fails to win all of those, then there is a real chance the women's ski big air on Monday will be a fight between and for their first gold (and then ofc someone else will end up winning xD )
  15. I'm at wondering if I should sell my Olympic tickets and just do tourism in Milan and Venice while pretending the Olympics aren't happening levels of unhappy xD (Not really, only tickets I'm selling are women's curling, and that's more because the logistics are gross than anything else, though I'll admit I'm more sad about not visiting Cortina than I am about not watching the finals)
  16. Now, someone Elise Christie? I'll grant you that label for her, because she was actively and consistently bad once she made it to an Olympic final.
  17. Like, Lindsey Jacobelis had a reputation as a choke artist... until she won two Olympic golds in two days. But if you look at her career as a whole, she really didn't "choke" all that often. The Olympics are a tiny sample size for sports like short track, it's hard to judge someone from a single Olympic games.
  18. I think it's a little ridiculous to postulate that van 't Wout is the only man capable of winning an individual event in short track.
  19. Have you watched, like, any WT this year? He's obviously good enough to win individual gold, unforgettably so are like a dozen people.
