Qualification Tracker

Test

  1. IMO that’s good news given the circumstances. I was worried they would get the extra 12 quotas by reducing the size of the teams from 3 to 2.
  2. The problem there is that you’d also need some additional individual quotas to keep it fair for the countries not qualified in the mixed team event.
  3. Mixed team results: Gold: Georgia Silver: South Korea Bronze: Japan and Germany
  4. and both fail to make the finals O.o lost 4-3 to in the QF and 4-1 to in the repechage. lost 4-2 to .
  5. Superbowl-winning tight-end Anthony Auclaire, who was last an NFL started in the 2021 season, has been named to the national team. Katie Sowers, who was previously in the 49ers coaching staff, is also interested in being in the coaching staff for Canada's womens team.
  6. Also like Russia is already a European country for sports purposes anyway…
  7. It looks like these European regional champions are only able to perform in the soft European winters during the off season and that they aren’t built for the crucible of summer, when God intended for people to play soccer. Sure PSG won League 1 and the Champions League, but can they do it on a sunny night in Los Angeles? So far the answer is no.
  8. Hey, AFAIK there are at least four of them!
  9. Those bans have an exclusion for athletes. Which I suspect is something his good buddies Infantino and the Olympic champion from 1976 lobbied for.
  10. It sure was. Def a fun game to attend!
  11. 6 - 0 Total domination
  12. I agree with Josh that the 100m is the "easier" world record of the two. I assume the 100m WR will beaten within the next two decades or so. It's very impressive but I still get the nagging feeling that we never quite saw Bolt's best possible time, which would mean that, for sure, a human *can* go faster.
  13. Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard just won a silver medals at worlds for the second time in her career!
  14. Very unsurprising but still good to see former Seattle Kraken Pierre-Édouard Bellemare on the list. Real shame Antoine Rousel retired a few years ago, would have loved to see him in the Olympics.
  15. Lefties vote for Trump, preach against LGBT people and fiercely oppose abortion? Man based on your worldview I guess even Trump is a lefty!
  16. This was actually a pretty fun match. Not to broken up about Seattle losing given I’m a Toronto fan xD The attendance was somewhat concerning. Only 30k and change for a home game for one of the team with the biggest fan base in the US. I also got lower bowl tickets for next Saturday’s Inter - Urawa matchup (there were a *lot* of open seats), which is less than I spent in worse tickets for a Gold Cup match in Vancouver next week…
  17. A woman sitting a few sections from me got an entire beer thrown on her head by a Botafogo fan after they scored and she did *not* look happy.
  18. Not a terrible turnout in Seattle but very far from a sellout.
  19. Is anyone else attending ‘s Gold Cup opener against ?
  20. Listen man, I don’t know if you intentionally lie or if you let emotions rule you, but that guy is not a lefty. The fact that you believe that nonsense without any sort of compelling evidence should lead you to re-evaluate a lot of things about how you view the world.
  21. Given the leading theory on his motive is opposition to abortion (per the NY Post, not exactly a lefty source) I seriously doubt he’s on the left.
  22. Went down to Pike Place and the Seattle waterfront today (entertaining a guest from out of town) and I saw quite a few Botafogo fans sightseeing. Hopefully that’s a good sign that there will be a solid away attendance tomorrow.
  23. Two state politicians in Minnesota, state senator John Hoffman and state house minority leader Melissa Hortman, along with their spouses, have been shot by an attacker disguised as a police officer. Hortman and her husband are both dead. The assassination is believed to be politically motivated. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/14/us/minneapolis-targeted-shooting
  24. I expect Patrick Burgener will be able to earn his own spot relatively easily, in which case it wouldn't make things any harder for Augustinho (getting a 4th spot isn't any harder than getting the 1st spot in snowboarding and freestyle). The actual ranking is pretty confusing but the qualification itself is pretty straightforward - just goes straight down the ranking list, max 4 per country per event and max 26 athletes total per country (IIRC) for the discipline, neither of which are likely to matter for .
  25. Plenty of Americans have African ancestry and plenty of Americans are Muslims *shrugs* I find it quite racist to imply that she is less American than Whitey McWhiteface because of her ancestry and her religion.
