  1. I didn't think I could like Evan any more, but here we are. He ain't afraid to speak his mind.
  2. Ah yes, I'm sure Mongolia is very deep in 3x3...
  3. Canadian federation doesn't invest any money in 3x3 at all. They literally don't care about it. Doesn't change the fact that Canada has the second best women's team in the world (which perhaps is a huge problem in and of itself - a country that literally invests nothing in 3x3 has a world class team). Still, they should not be punished because Canada doesn't have highly ranked players ranked 5th to 100th. It's a four person team, only the top four athletes should matter.
  4. Canada not even having a chance to qualify for the women’s tournament is an absolute joke. The Canadian women have one of the best team on tour...
  5. Duncan Hunter's everything scandal.
  6. She's not even the California congresscritter with the worst ongoing sex scandal.
  7. Still can't believe all that happened just so we could lost to Finland in the end...
  8. Feels a *little* in bad taste to play We Are the Champions given the circumstances.
  9. This would be too unbelievable for a sports anime...
  10. I'm guessing the Irish women will be pretty hungry for revenge next week-end...
  11. And Canada is going to Tokyo. What drama... gotta feel for the Irish, that was snatched from them at the last second twice. Amazing results from the Canadian team though, despite not playing that well. Credit for never giving up.
  12. Back to the video umpire.
  13. I'm no field hockey expert but I feel that Canada got extremely lucky to be awarded a penalty stroke there. I'll take it, but still.
  14. So for the second Olympics in a row Canada's qualification will be decided by a shoot-out.
  15. Another penalty corner and another goal for Canada. They lead Ireland 2-1 at the half.
  16. absolutely dominated the first quarter, but converted their only penalty corner. 1-1 after the first quarter.
  17. Well aware, paid the 70$ for the snow pass last season. It was a sub-par product at best, sticking to Eurosport this season.
  18. Sure sounds like the ISU was offering unreasonable terms. Not being able to get the CBC on board is astonishing.
  19. Incredibly sad they don't have a European-wide broadcasting deal... It's incredibly difficult to watch figure skating in the United States, too.
  20. It would be a pity to force the South Korean players to sacrifice their roster spots and their chances at winning games. At least in women's ice hockey North Korea and South Korea were comparably ranked teams.
  21. France got very close, but they ought to be very happy with the state of their program. They may be a dark horse for a medal in 2024.
  22. South Africa will not reject their men's quota, they have reached the NOCs' selection criteria. Not sure if they are accepting the women's quota. Either way, any reallocation goes to the highest ranked team that lost their play-off match. Except for the South African men, since Egypt is ranked in the top 20 and were runner-up in the African qualification event they would get the quota.
  23. And so the “Qatari” reign of terror over Asian handball comes to an end.
  24. Ya, I looked up his story after my post and it does appear that he is very committed to South Korea. So that's not too outrageous, minus the doping violation.
  25. 67 is just not enough for an Olympic road race, should be 100 athletes minimum. Would be ideal if both road races had 150 starters or something along those lines.
