    Well, glad Cournoyer got Canada’s spot. He barely missed out on Rio.

    I think the action inside the stadium was very good, the men’s 3000m steeplechase has to be the highlight of the championships for me. It’s too bad that the first week felt dead. Overall I guess it was okay as a TV event. But I am very happy we are going to a proper athletics town in 2021.

    Two Olympic veterans on the US team: Monica Abbott competed in Beijing and Cat Osterman competed in both Beijing and Athens.

    I really wish the TV graphics showed the Heptathlon / Decathlon points in real time rather than just showing the distances / times.

    22 year old Ski-cross racer and 2018 World Junior champion Mikayla Martin tragically passed away in a mountain biking accident.
