    In 2016 Shapovalov and Auger-Aliassime lost in the boy’s doubles final at Wimbledon. Five years later they are both in the singles QF.

    Other than Klimkait nobody is favoured for a medal but this is still by some margin the best Judo team Canada has ever sent to the Olympics.

    Czechia is gonna win the gold medal at the Olympics just to make me look bad for dismissing them as a team that either Greece or Turkey should beat easily xD

    The Italian team is back for real, they played great all tournament.

    It’s a really good thing got a free quota in women’s 3x3 from the diversity tournament, it is the only way such a minor basketball nation could ever qualify.

    The Lithuanians seem scared. Down 10 with 90 seconds left three players turned down wide open shots.

    Balance beam appears to be China’s best chance in Women’s Gymnastics so that seems to he a smart strategy. I don’t think China has anyone who is strong enough to win uneven bars, and the US (even beyond Biles) is just too good in floor and vault.

    Greece and Turkey are not going to shoot like 20% from the 3 point line while also attempting like 30 3s…

    Based on today’s game I don’t think Czechia has a great chance. Greece looked like a better team against Canada and they already lost to Turkey.

    You just can’t outchoke the men’s Canadian basketball team. It isn’t possible.

    The refs are pretty bad but that’s really no excuse, on paper Canada should be winning this with ease. The players just didn’t show up today. The Czech Republic didn’t beat Canada, the Canadian team beat themselves. This is just so frustrating to watch.

    Ya. Just a shocking performance from the Canadian team, as usual. I feel really bad for Nick Nurse.
