Welcome to the 2026 Milano Cortina Podium Guessing Game!

For this competition, you will guess which NOCs will land on the podium for each event.

    Instructions:
    1) Copy and paste the table below in its entirety into your post.
    2) Write the 3-letter IOC code for the NOC you believe will occupy that spot on the podium.  (Please do not add additional text, and please do not use the emojis.  You can write any commentary below your table.)
    3) Post your results before the first events of the Games (Wednesday, February 4)!  Any edits need to also be made before the first events.

All right...time is up!  However, there is still a chance to enter the competition.  If you get your guesses in by the Opening Ceremony, you will still receive credit for any event that hasn't started yet.  That is, you won't get credit for your guesses for, for instance, Team Figure Skating or Mixed Doubles Curling.  But anything else is still fair game.

I will try to provide daily updates.  Best of luck!

    Scoring:
There are going to be two awards.

    1) Most accurate medal placements - This will be awarded to the user that correctly guesses the most medals exactly correct.  That is, you will receive credit if you think Switzerland will win the gold for an event, and they did in fact win the gold for that event.  I will simply tally up the number of correct guesses across all medal events.

    2) Most accurate podium makeup - This award will go to the user with the most accurate podium make-up, also receiving a bonus if the guess is exactly correct.

For this award, you will receive 2 points if you correctly guess the NOC in the correct medal spot.  (You thought Switzerland would win gold, and they did win gold.)

You will receive 1 point if you correctly guessed that an NOC will be on the podium, but you guessed the incorrect medal.  (You thought Switzerland would win gold, but they won silver.)

Users will receive an additional bonus point if you correctly guessed the entire podium for an event.

Even worse, the US Olympic Committee is also asking for an additional spot for her. The same one that was responsible to select her or another athlete.

Whinelaender involving JD Vance now? They will insist this is a political case of mistreatment of Americans, who are the bestest of the best and so feared by everyone. I guess for LA28 the IOC will need to give them 16 host quota places per event to avoid such cases

Italy with 5 spots... It's simply unfair that we scored 22 points less than the USA last year in Nations Cup, yet we have 5 spots, and they have 8. On top of that, we have 7 spots in the women's team that we don't need—7 is completely unnecessary, and we can't trade 6th place in the men's team, which we have at a much higher level. Twenty years ago, we had 10 men in Turin, and now we have 5... Because of this, I think we're losing our chance at a medal in the relay because the IOC is making a joke. The system is unfair and promotes the top 5 too much, at the expense of others - for me it's funny that Norway (1st last year Nations Cup) and USA (5th) have 8 spots each, and Italy (6th) only 5. But one can only feel sorry that the IOC discriminates against the host country

Giacomel is getting weaker and weaker, and his running is poor. Nothing will come of it. Without Boe, he was supposed to be the fastest skier, but he's losing out to the Norwegians and Swedes. The rest of the squad, apart from Hofer, is essentially colapse.
