Yup, it is Polish Day today  Medal rain! Second medal this season and first gold for @rybak Congrats my friend!  
It was very close race at the end, I needed just a bit more that 0.5 points to win the gold, but I'll take this silver with pleasure. Now that tennis is gone, I must rely on luck and in @africaboy to forget to post predictions  
Congratulation @Pablita on new medal! This time bronze for the already big collection!
Great result as well for the remaining top 10 finishers (I guess this is the first one for @wumo26 and maybe just second for @intoronto this year).

From the start lists Brazil, Canada, Mexico and USA should have no problem in securing max number of gymnasts (2 individuals & 5 in groups)
In individuals, only one country won't qualify, which I'm afraid will be either Bolivia, Chile or Venezuela. Peru, as host country, will be awarded an additional spot, meaning 17 individuals will compete next year. However, I'm sure she will finish in last place.
For the groups, Peru and Costa Rica are definitely out, while the other 2 tickets should be contested between Argentina, Chile, Cuba and even Venezuela.

Our coach is suspended from tomorrow's game. Reason? He threw a ball on the court in the middle of a point in the game against Russia. 
 
He said he did it without any intention , but obviously no one believed it. There is no reason for him to have a ball in his hand in the middle of a point.

I think they don't feel good enough in both women and men's +78/+90kg classes (in fact only Kyle Reyes in men's -100kg was part of the team individually in the "heavy" weights)...

The host of EURO 2024 wll be announced today at a round 14:45 CET.  Germany and Turkey are the only ones who have submitted a bid to host EURO 2024.
 
These are some of the new bid requirements:

These criteria are based on the United Nations’ “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” and other UN conventions and were developed in close cooperation with Sport and Rights Alliance. TBH it mostly looked like Canada got it’s act together more so than France throwing. Canada had a laughable free throw and field goal percentage in the first two and a half quarters before getting it together.

Let’s make a poll. Do you think it would be fair allowing nations who qualifies the largest boat (k4?) to enter a second boat in the other events if they use the same athletes?  (That is, without using other quotas). Or a boat in general, if for some reason they did not qualify for example in K1?. Personally I think it is, for all the sports in general: I think it will allow best nations and athletes to compete, some quotas will be given to enlarge the universality and I think that the mean level goes up this way. On the other hand, if a nation is absolutely dominating, it is like gifted medals, and I’m not sure everybody will agree with this.
