Maybe they should look at themselves instead of playing the "corruption card" every time something happens they don't like. Of course they could let all the nice, kind people on this list just go free. Friendly sweethearts like Joseph Kony and Omar al-Bashir, I'm sure the world would be a nicer place if people like that could do whatever they want

Sorry I worded that wrong. There has been past precedence for a 16 year old... so worst case scenario is that age.

Costa Rica - Andreas Hamm, a freestyle skier has a semi-decent shot at qualifying
Afghanistan - Afghanistan has a couple alpine skiers seeking qualification, more of their abilities will be seen at the Asian Winter Games next year
Uganda - Uganda has a snowboarder currently chasing qualification in slopestyle. Might be a bit of a longshot at this point
Eritrea - Shannon Abeda, a Canadian born alpine skier, who competed in 2012 at the Youth Olympics. He was very close to qualifying in 2014, but just missed the cut. He should qualify this time around
Colombia - Their speed skating team should qualify at least one athlete, and their Youth Olympian from 2016 in alpine skiing should qualify
Ecuador - They have a CC skier, who is at this point a bit of a long shot, but you never know
Ghana - Ghana has a skeleton athlete who is originally Dutch, and is just outside the qualification range, but anything is literally possible
South Africa - This time hopefully Slive Spleeman gets to go! He qualified but the Olympic Committee rejected the quota. There is also a Swedish born snowboarder who has a semi decent shot of qualifying.
North Korea - This is a mystery. Their athletes usually come out of nowhere to do well in most sports. Speed skating/figure skating remain a possibility for them.
Trinidad and Tobago - Another skier (cross country) with Canadian roots, is within striking distance of qualifying.
Singapore - long shot in short track speed skating
I didn't include Puerto Rico, because they will reject the quota(s). they earn.
Of the 2014 list, British Virgin Islands (hasn't competed since 2014), Zimbabwe (hasn't competed in a while), Tajikistan (no athletes currently competing at the qualification level), Dominica (no athletes) and Nepal (retired) are in threat of not qualifying

I'm truly sorry that life does not work exactly the way you want it to work. You have to understand that not everyone is here simply to entertain you. Everyone works at their own pace, everyone has different selection processes and there are still two good weeks until the deadline. For example, it's becoming boring for me that you complain about everything, because now it has become predictable. Now because I'm bored of your attitude, it does not mean that you'll stop complaining. It's the same that if you're bored that people don't post songs, that does not mean that they'll start posting them. Have a nice day

That's just South Asia.
IMO there is only room for one bat/ball sport, and that should be baseball/softball as its more globalized.

I too was against canoe slalom, but it does have a diversity (albeit with European nations) on the top, but canoe slalom is quite a fun sport to watch. It just needs more events (maybe like 8 in total) and yes the venue does not need to be extravagant. The Pan Am Games had a natural river used and I believe it was the cheapest venue to be built.

May be gopis training is too rigorous and his method is prone to injuries or there are too many to look after for him. So they are not getting individual attention. He has mentioned he wanted to train under fitness coach Deckline Leitao.

Letting host nation adding sports is a stupid idea, I understand if it happens in Universiade or some continental Games to make the host nation happy, but Olympics is bigger than this.

I don't plan on leaving this site, lol.
Also, am I the only one impressed at Tricia Smith? She came into the COC at a difficult time and to me has been a present and likeable figure. I think that she understands the support the Canadian athletes need and I am excited to see our athletes flourish in 2020 but first 2018.

How did Azerbaijan lose? That was surprising.
Uzbekistan 7 boxing medals (3 gold) something seems suspicious here

All around great finishes tonight for Canada athletics. Bishop and the women's 4x400 relay 4th, and Ahmed 5th before being disqualified.
