  1. Funnily enough, I took the "Single course" bit as the key wording but reading more of the rules suggests you are probably right. The routes can be different, they just need to have similar difficulty and character.
  2. Team GB are going to be debuting their new Olympic bike in Glasgow next week as part of package of 64 new pieces kit registered ahead of Paris 2024.
  3. To be honest I'm not sure - the IFSC rulebook says Boulder qualification is organised as a "single course of five (5) boulders for each Starting Group" so I took that as each group had to do the same routes.
  4. As far as I am aware, they all do the same 5 routes in qualifying and the results from the two groups are combined with the top 20 going through to semis. Probably going to need at least 2-3 tops and 5 zones to get through.
  5. That's right - boulder qualifiers take place tomorrow evening after the Men's Lead competition. Bursikova is drawn as 20th starter in group B so will probably be in the 2nd or 3rd hour of qualifying event.
  6. Not sure extent of coverage, but the Commonwealth Sport YouTube channel has a header saying "Live Coverage Here" so might be decent starting point when competition gets under way on Friday.
  7. Interestingly, he is still listed on the start list for tomorrow's Lead qualification - if he's nursing injury, perhaps he would have been better to rest up and focus on the combined event next week.
  8. Doesn't look like there were any major surprises in the qualification for Women's Lead although world numbers 12 -14 ( Eliska Adamovska, Ryu Nakagawa and Natalia Grossman) all finish just outside of the semi-final cut off
  9. So even now, World Archery aren't in a position to confirm which teams will qualify for Paris - maybe nobody could find the wi-fi code so that they could check the qualification document online.
  10. Indonesia pull off the shock of the tournament so far knocking out Korea in women's event and somehow GBR manage to throw away great opportunity to fight for Olympic quota here.
  11. To be honest, shouldn't be regarded as a surprise, they were up against who are 15 places higher in the world ranking and who qualified in 11th compared to GB's 22nd.
  12. Only 5 quotas available for mixed event - awarded at the continental events - the rest of the mixed event is based on the performance in the qualifying event at the Olympics. Basically, if you have both a male and female archer qualified to Paris, you have a chance of getting into the mixed event. You just need to finish in the top 16 nations based on the combined score of your top male and female archers.
  13. Link for live results: IFSC Climbing Result Service
  14. A couple of shocks in the qualifying so far world number 8 Hannes Van Duysen wont progress after failing to zone on the first boulder - he's currently in 25th. Likewise, world number 11 Colin Duffy and number 15 Jan-Luca Posch of have both had a stinker of a day and are down in 45th and 57th respectively.
  15. Getting on for about 100 athletes having completed and somehow Roberts is still clinging on to qualifying spot in 15th. In better news for , Jack Macdougall should be safely through with 3 tops and 5 zones - currently sitting in 9th place. Another 36 athletes yet to start....
  16. Pretty much worst possible result for women - by finishing in 9th place they would have to overcome in quarterfinals. Bye-bye any chance of a quota here.
  17. Hmmm - all getting a bit messy for the men. In the space of 12 arrows, Orton drops out of the top 20 and is now 55 whilst Alex Wise is only barely making the cut for the next round. As a team, they are currently ranked 19th - in the 2021 world champs, they qualified in 5th!
  18. Interesting that opted for Louisa Piper instead of more experienced Jaspreet Sagoo for the women's event
  19. hope Toby Roberts seems off his game today only managing 2 tops and 5 zones in qualifying. Currently in 13th place so he will probably struggle to get into the semi-finals (in 2021 it took minimum of 3 tops and 5 zones to qualify) Thankfully the Olympic quotas aren't awarded until later in the week during combined event, but it's not a great start to the competition.
  20. Would add European Beach Volleyball champs to this list - action gets underway on Wednesday. Next week will also have the European Eventing Championships which should take us neatly into the Shooting world champs.
  21. Connor Bentley is probably their next big hope - he was the Under 23 World Champion last year - although has been a bit underwhelming on the main tour this year, finishing outside the top 30 at European Games but he does have European Cup level wins in 2023.
  22. So by my tally, we've got the full medal breakdowns for , , and gold medalists for
  23. Germany's defeat at the hands of Colombia has shaken up Gracenote's prediction a fair bit - to the benefit of - who go from losing in the round of 16 to now being semi-finalists - and who are now predicted to reach the final.
  24. Was a bit surprised at the pretty poor turnout from athletes for the Sunderland leg of WTCS but it looks like Yee, Brownlee, GTB, Potter and Coldwell will all be looking to secure their qualification for Paris
  25. No - trying to piece it together from various global media sources but it's a pain that nobody has published the full list
