  1. Continuing with the daily medal overviews today, as I couldn’t be bothered to do it yesterday. Slower day than usual with only one medal chance, but Zachary Gingras will look to upgrade from his Paralympic bronze in Tokyo, as the Paris 2023 World Championships silver medalist in men’s T38 400m at 10:20 AM PST/1:20 PM EST. Edit: Oops Fournie was a medal chance too and I completely forgot about him
  2. I share the same viewpoint as you, and it’s not just because Canada would be better with NHL players.
  3. Humana-Parades/Wilkerson won the AVP Chicago Open title yesterday, defeating the likes of Cheng/Hughes and Kloth/Nuss!
  4. What an awful coincidence that his race was during when I had a huge headache
  5. Geez, Batt is insane With literally no time left on the clock, he connects on a long knuckle lob pass to Vernon right as the time expires to tie the game up at the half!
  6. That no look pass from Batt to Bonds
  7. Stefan Daniel has crashed and won’t be medaling in men’s PTS5 Just great…
  8. In a rematch of the Olympic final, Qinwen Zheng gets the better of Donna Vekic again, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-2 The match, which ended at 2:15 am local time, is the latest women’s match in US Open history.
  9. Nicholas Bennett through to the men’s 100m breaststroke SB14 final. Nicolas Guy Turbide through to the men’s 50m freestyle S13 final.
  10. And suddenly, with a couple of Aubert mistakes, Ting grabs the 3 and is right back in the match!
  11. Ting in some serious trouble here…
  12. Time for some more boccia! Ting v. Aubert in the women’s BC1 gold medal match
  13. That sprint by Tesfaw in the women’s 1500m T11 final 4:27.68 WORLD RECORDDDDDDDDD!! Demolished her previous mark by over 5 seconds!
  14. Well no, not yet and probably won’t be until late next year but in Beijing the lack of NHL players was due to COVID which isn’t as big anymore so… Yeah same, not only would it be better for the quality of the competition, but just imagine the lines it would produce. I mean a Crosby-MacKinnon-McDavid line… fuck I’m already excited. I don’t get what you mean regarding that comparison though, the Olympic men’s football tournament doesn’t attract the star players that men’s hockey does
  15. Leanne Taylor wins bronze in women’s PTWC! 5 seconds faster than the Spanish athlete Moral, what a race.
  16. Couldn’t you say the same thing about every single other country?
  17. I mean Beijing and silver, I got Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 confused.
  18. Completely forgot the para triathlon was going on until now Come on Taylor!
  19. Women’s wheelchair basketball team defeats Spain 81-49 to improve to 2-1 in the group stage! Kady Dandeneau with 36 points, amazing performance by her
  20. Well yeah, but I’d honestly be surprised if Russia weren’t in medal contending form, they always are. Russia has been one of the top nations in ice hockey for many many years and there’s no reason to think otherwise. They have a good non-NHL team (they did win silver in Beijing after all…), and with NHL players finally returning to the Olympics they’ll be even stronger. Some of the players like Kucherov have spoken about the upcoming Olympics and are quite keen to represent their countries if given the chance of course.
  21. Because Russia earned their ticket through combined results at the last two World Chamipionships, and Belarus didn't
  22. Russia being excluded for … France would be such a shame, personally I’m hoping for their inclusion as I want to see the best of the best present. They have a lot of good NHL players too.
  23. Daily Medals Day 1 - 2 Bronzes Day 2 - 2 Bronzes Day 3 - 2 Silvers Day 4 - 2 Silvers So with that we’ll win 2x gold the next two days… ? (kidding, but wouldn’t that be something)
