  5. Oops, another day where I completely forgot to do a preview. Well, given the day is almost half over, I’ll highlight the rest of what’s going on. On the track, Marissa Papaconstantinou will look to go one better on her 200m result in the women’s 100m T64 (final at 10:11 AM PST/1:11 PM EST), while Renee Foessel in women’s discus throw F38 (final at 11:32 AM PST/2:32 PM EST) and Cody Fournie in men’s 100m T54 (final at 12:09 PM PST/3:09 AM EST) are other strong medal chances. In swimming, Canada try and improve on their haul of 10 medals as Alec Elliot goes in the men’s 100m backstroke S10 (final at 9:05 AM PST/12:05 PM EST) and Aurelie Rivard competes in her final event of these Paralympics, the women’s 100m backstroke S10 (final at 9:12 AM PST/12:12 PM EST) Women’s wheelchair basketball team takes on Netherlands, although they’re so outmatched that I’m pretty sure it’ll turn out as a loss unfortunately.
  6. China take the first two sets, unsurprising but still hoped for more.
  7. That dig by Oakes at 1-3 in set 2
  8. women’s sitting volleyball team is really good Actually, for me they were marginal (small though) favourites for gold pre-Paralympics, so I shouldn’t be that surprised, but every time I watch them
  9. Warholm pulled out of the 400m hurdles earlier today after tweaking his hamstring. No Swedish kit for him (kidding… somewhat, I do hope he recovers as quickly as possible though)
  10. Women’s sitting volleyball semifinal against China was delayed for another 20 minutes, just great
  11. 6-1 loss, and boccia continues to be a complete flop for us at the Paralympics.
  12. Swear I’m going to lose my hearing after all of the screaming that Phonsila is doing
  13. Levine/Ciobanu down 1-5 to Thailand in the mixed pairs BC4 boccia bronze medal match with one end to go And I think that’s the loss right there.
  14. Come on !! Let’s make history! Edit: And with their 3-0 win over Germany in the sitting volleyball semifinals, they’ve won multiple Paralympic medals for the first time in history.
  15. Mary Jibb and Katarina Roxon also through to the women’s 200m individual medley SM9 final!
  16. Priscilla Gagne loses in the semifinals of women’s J1 57kg judo, with a 10-0 loss to Yijie and will battle for bronze later.
  17. Priscilla Gagne through to the semifinals in women’s J1 57kg judo after defeating Oliveira 10-0! Tess Routliffe (women’s 100m breaststroke SB7) and Aurelie Rivard (women’s 400m freestyle S10) also through to their respective finals in swimming.
  18. Last few days of the Paralympics Levine/Ciobanu will look to win bronze in mixed pair BC4 boccia at 3:20 AM PST/6:20 AM EST, after losing to Hong Kong in the semifinals, Charles Moreau will look to rebound from the disappointment of finishing 7th yesterday as he takes on the men’s H3 road race at 7:20 AM PST/10:20 AM EST, medal rounds in women’s J1 57kg judo start at 7:58 AM PST/10:58 AM PST with Pricilla Gagne, Aurelie Rivard will attempt to get revenge on an event that’s been causing her some troubles the past few years the women’s 400m freestyle S10, final goes at 8:58 AM PST/11:58 AM EST, reigning World Champion in men’s 800m T53 Brent Lakatos is looking to beat the likes of Paeyo for his 2nd career Paralympic gold, women’s sitting volleyball team takes on China at 11:02 AM PST/2:02 PM EST (I won’t be able to watch the latter part of it, ugh), and last but not least the men’s wheelchair basketball team plays the US in the semifinals at 12:30 PM PST/3:30 PM EST.
