  1. If Gvardiol was a striker that would have been a goal
  2. What's even more hardly believable is that Saudi Arabia of all things won that tournament
  3. Includes the infamous 1974 World Cup exit when they didn't lose a game but only beat Zaire 2-0 when Brazil beat Zaire 3-0 which made the difference.
  4. Hanley goes off injured and his replacement McKenna is booked after 60 secs
  5. Lovren booked and will miss R16 if Croatia advances.
  6. So, England might end up playing Germany in R16
  7. And they scored! Scotland defense way too passive.
  8. Croatia vs Scotland cannot be boring. Draw puts both of them out. I'm gonna focus on this game. Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw replaces Sime Vrsaljko at right-back.
  9. This should be the final Olympic line-up then:
  10. So, the final will have 60k spectators allowed in Wembley. Funny how Boris Johnson folded like a cheap tent as soon as the relocation rumours started to creep in
  11. This is a major upset! I didn't see that coming
  12. Not anymore. She dropped out of Top 10 after she skipped Australian Open. She tumbled down after not defending RG final points in May alltogether.
  13. Well, the ineviteable narrative that Nets choked the playoffs away must be the driving force behind Durant & Harden joining the Olympics team.
  14. It's always about the same crap, gay marriage & abortion. Here's the thing though, when liberals held power in Poland they didn't pass the LGBT & abortion laws either Now they promise to do so but they've fallen to third place in polls, the lowest % score in over 15 years. They are totally screwed as Poland remains a conservative hold
  15. UEFA and German liberals can't vote Orban out of office after all so UEFA gains nothing from pouring fuel to the fire. One has to acknowledge liberal democracy doesn't get a 100% score in Europe no matter what people think
  16. Probably May 2016 when Kvitova dropped out of Top 10 when she failed to defend the Madrid title. The currently ending Pliskova streak started in August 2016.
  17. Defending Eastbourne champion Karolina Pliskova is out in R1 after losing to Camila Giorgi in three sets. This means Pliskova is out of WTA Top 10 after 230 consecutive weeks.
  18. WTA drama continues as Marketa Vondrousova uses her PR (protected ranking) to secure the Tokyo ticket at the expense of in-form Karolina Muchova. Vondrousova has done nothing since 2019 so this one stings for sure.
  19. What was the winning time? Over 1:45?
  20. Argentina leads Paraguay 1-0 after 10 mins.
  21. Garrick Higgo had quite a run in the last year. I bet nobody had him at the Olympics 12 months ago. Bezuidenhout needed a Top 10 finish at US Open to pass him according to Polish commentators (he finished 31st).
  22. No problem. It's kinda compliacted at first but not so much when you have the fixed pattern for all the scenarios. Croatia vs Scotland is the key game after which things will be much more clear. Ukraine, Finland and Slovakia must pray this game ends in a draw (which is not that impossible result). Finland's path to qualify is quite improbable. They have to count on: a) vs ending in a draw AND b) not beating AND c) to beat by three goals And if all those three things happen then you'll have vs in R16 and playing either or
  23. I suppose you weren't around for the 1986-1994 World Cups when the same system was in place? It all depends which four teams from which groups qualify. If tomorrow there is a draw in vs then I'm gonna say 99% Groups B & D will be the ones to advance only two teams (unless Poland doesn't beat Sweden and Slovakia loses to Spain by three goals). Actually Poland beating Sweden is the biggest potential spoiler of my laid out plan. If Groups B & D advance two teams then R16 matches COULD be: vs , vs , vs and vs (again, only most probable if Croatia vs Scotland ends in a draw). The 3rd team options are listed here (those still possible in green). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020_knockout_phase
