  1. Only the sixth time in MLB history that a team allowed 0 hits and still lost the game. It's almost fitting this happened to the worst team this season - Cincinnati Reds who lost 0-1 to Pittsburgh Pirates.

After three walks the only run was scored on fielder's choice who couldn't pull off a double play to end the inning.

  2. Dallas won 123-90. Americans usually have all the stats so I presume this will be right up there in the biggest home losses in Game 7 ever   I guess Doncic + a bunch of guys was good enough to make a Conference final after all :p

East finals: Heat vs Celtics, West finals: Warriors vs Mavericks.

I fear they have to update their infosystem...

I'm pretty sure we already have that anti-record...

I remember very well that famous match against Sweden in Prague 1992, when we got the most unlikey 0-0 tie and the shots card was something like 60-1...

No way 8 shots is the record? I've seen NHL games where teams had single digit shots on goal before?

  4. Coyotes & Kraken are the graveyard. Are the former still up for relocation? Seattle has zero hockey presence I imagine, if only that city wants the SuperSonics back?

It would be better if Slafkovsky goes to Canadiens (did they have an international star since Saku Koivu?) or Devils.

  5. Rookie Reid Detmers threw a no-hitter yesterday. That's one way to keep a 12-0 game interesting. The Angels might finally not waste whatever Mike Trout has left to give while in the NL the Mets are also looking suspiciously above par so far. Granted, it can all change come the summer.

  6. Naomi Osaka pulled out of Rome after she drew Sorribes Tormo who destroyed her in Madrid last week

Same happened with Clara Tauson who won only three games vs Marta Kostyuk in Madrid and drew her in R1 again.

  7. Carlos Alcaraz - remember him? - won WTA 1000 in Madrid smoking Zverev 63 61 in the final. He also beat Nadal in QF & Djokovic in SF :p

I wonder if Nadal for once won't be a favorite to win Roland Garros now?

  8. Yeah, I remember when Slovakia broke though in the 90s with Palffy, Petrovicky & Satan. Also Sekeras in defense and Svehla whom I remember still playing for Czechoslovakia (before the stereo era, TV antenna of my parents could reach CT1 & CT2 which had football & hockey all the time :p ). I believe Dragan was the first choice goalie but that was over 25 years ago so my memory might be blurred ;)

  9. Yeah, Stastny is more like Navratilova, I'm unsure what his legacy is given he played during the communism era and changed nationality.

I'm old enough not to consider Hossa as as icon tbh, he did have a knack for playing for good NHL teams.

It's maybe the same conversation the Swedes have with Borje Salming & Peter Forsberg (and some odd votes for Mats Sundin, well, Hossa is Sundin for me).
