  1. Katrin Brzyszkowska. A name any Pole would be proud of
  2. Division I action gets underway with women's hammer. Polish TV hyping up Kaczmarek vs Bol later tonight already...
  3. WTA has agreed to put a flag next to Varvara Gracheva from next week in Bad Homburg. She hasn't received the French passport yet. French women's tennis is so bad these days that Gracheva will become the French #2 right away (behind Caroline Garcia).
  4. The sun is back again. There was a major thunderstorm in the morning but it's all clear now
  5. Well, the Den Bosch final will be repeated in Berlin QF. Alexandrova blasted Cori Gauff 6-4 6-0 winning 11 of the last 12 games while Kudermetova beat #2 Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets.
  6. Camille Jedrzejewski? Sounds like Poland won 1.5 medals there
  7. For all the PGA-LIV merger/takeover hoopla Wyndham Clark winning US Open must be the most anonymous and low-key moment for years. There's literally nothing worth remembering from this tournament at all - aside that McIlroy's putting is horrendous as usual and it cost him another victory in the big picture.
  8. Well, there will be pressure to perform for Wright now. The minor nation underdog story goes away with him switching to United States.
  9. Kraków actually has a left-wing President from the former communist United Workers' Party. It's the biggest Polish city that still has a former communist as President (though technically he's indepedent).
  10. Stuff like BMX never gets shown on TV here so they don't even have "experts" for it. The road cycling gets covered by former cyclists and two veteran journalists on Eurosport and standard sport journalists on TVP if neccessary.
  11. Well, my TV schedule said 3x3 basket will be for all morning and instead I got canoe sprints
  12. @Werloc@Federer91It's the last week of the school in Poland so everyone is just waiting for the summer break and don't bother with any organized school trips to events like this.
  13. I'm just waiting for IOC to pull the mythical "new fans" attraction card in order to justify killing off ski jumping and nordic combined. Ice skateboarding would probably be urban enough to be viewed as better replacement - though technially slopestyle is skateboarding on skis already so maybe not. In the near future WOG will probably be held in Saudi Arabia or somewhere in the Middle East and the funny thing is those sheiks could actually afford to build a completely useless ski jumping hill which would be used 3-4 times and then swiftly dismantled.
  14. Ski jumping is shrinking with every season. Finland and Czech Republic are dead in the sport and minnows will always be minnows. I'm not surprised team event has been cut down to duets, FIS has no idea how to inject life into this sport and the recent cutdown of team quota in World Cup is pure desperation hoping that minnows will suddenly score points if Top 6 nations will have fewer eligible athletes. I wonder when ski jumping will be axed from the Olympics and replaced by breakdance on snow/ice?
  15. beats 3-2 from 0-2 down at half-time. This is probably the most embarrassing defeat for Polish NT in XXI century, even eclipsing the home defeat to Latvia in Euro 2004 qualifiers.
  16. This is a legendary meltdown...
  17. Well, the stadium is located within a huge Silesian Park so there will always be a lot of people outside in the summer Those prople will probably come when Division I rolls along during the weekend.
  18. Moldova vs Poland in Kishinev tonight. We should win this match...
  19. Skydan with 71.69 to win Division III hammer.
  20. Skydan 69.88 in the fourth round. Tuthill has the consistency but I don't think she can find two meters now.
  21. Yeah, the beach handball stream is working fine
  22. The stadium itself listed the athletics schedule:
  23. Yeah, plus the athletics is held at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów so everything is in place from the professional standpoint. You almost can't screw the coverage up even if you tried.
  24. That's a major shock as I didn't expect her back problems to be as serious. She will always have that insane 2021 season (mostly the second half of it) culminated by the YEC final.
  25. Not really a surprise even though he was fired after four months on the job. Mexico looks to be going through their weakest period in the last 30 years at least. Wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't make the Gold Cup final either.
