  1. I hope the shooting will improve. Sometimes miracles do happen. My support goes to Ukaleq Slettemark. #TeamSlettemark #Greenlandbiathlon
  2. I was about to complain about the horrible shooting from the Danish biathletes. I'm happy for @Werloc he is not Danish because then he would constantly bang his head into a wall over the terrible shooting.
  3. Indeed. After a quick look at her instagram and facebook, it seems she is born and have lived her whole life in Sweden. I even found an interview with her from when she was 12: https://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=78&artikel=5436847 She was quite a talent in Swedish biathlon from what I can read. Her big idol was, and maybe still is, Helena Ekholm.
  4. She should have performed much better on the sprint distance to deserve a spot. https://www.indta.se/api/v1/fil/bilagor/bd169e39-79fc-476e-bd96-aab7adc24023/resultat_sm_sprint_sverige.pdf (National Champs. in Men's 10km Sprint and Women's 7.5km Sprint.)
  5. National Championships, Short Individual, Women's 12.5km and Men's 15km.
  6. I hope the Swedish biathletes will shoot much better this weekend and next week then they did last weekend: https://www.indta.se/api/v1/fil/bilagor/e5176801-8c29-447c-8472-a164b44651b9/resultat_smkortdistans.pdf In fairness, the weather was very foggy with strong winds. Not optimal conditions.
  7. Swedish team for WC 1: https://www.op.se/artikel/ingela-andersson-skrallen-i-truppen-har-ar-alla-uttagna-till-vc-premiaren-i-ostersund Men: Jesper Nelin, Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Peppe Femling, Torstein Stenersen. Women: Linn Persson, Hanna Oeberg, Mona Brorsson, Ingela Andersson, Emma Nilsson, Elvira Oeberg.
  8. Ragnhild Mowinckel is not coming back this season after she has sustained a new injury to her knee ligament during a training session. It's the same injury she sustained during a training run at the World Cup Finals in Andorra in March.
  9. In short, correct. A biathlete can only earn points to a manager's total points when the biathlete is on his or her team.
  10. If you refer to the template with the 19 biathletes, you can select a maximum of 3 biathletes from that for the first World Cup. If you mean the excel document with a list of biathletes, BMG Biathlete Points (1) (2).xlsx, it's only provisional and not complete. You are allowed to select any biathlete. However, you may not violate this rule: Creating your biathlon team Your biathlon team will consist of 5 female and 5 male biathletes. You are only allowed to select 2 biathletes from the same nation. Only 1 male and 1 female biathlete from the same nation are allowed. 2 male or 2 female biathletes are not allowed. For the first World Cup round, managers can select a maximum of 3 biathletes in total from last WC season’s overall top 10 in both men’s and women’s WC. For every World Cup Round, managers select one male captain and one female captain. See 2e for points.

  17. The sisters? qualified in Men's Doubles. However, everyone except a Chinese pair qualified. They were second to last, only beating a Austrian pair. https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/rlncdoubles-32.pdf
  18. Not that talented, it seems. He will most likely not qualify for Sunday's competition. At least he's still young, so there is hope, right?
  19. Do you mean Aalto? If you do, then he was injured in the beginning of November. https://www.fis-ski.com/en/ski-jumping/ski-jumping-news-multimedia/news/2019-20/antti-aalto-sidelined-for-a-couple-of-weeks

  21. Future U.S. President, maybe? https://www.thoughtco.com/which-presidents-were-left-handed-105445 "What is perhaps most noteworthy about left-handed presidents is how many there have been in recent decades. Of the last 15 presidents, seven (about 47%) have been left-handed. That might not mean much until you consider that the global percentage of left-handed people is about 10%. So among the general population, only one in ten people are left-handed, while in the modern-era White House, almost one in two have been left-handed".
  22. Hello neighbour. My team, Latający Duńczycy, is located in Gdańsk. Let's see which team is the best in Pomorskie.
  23. There was a press conference today in Norway. It was expected to be mainly about the team selection for this week's competitons in Beitostolen and next week's WC in Ruka. However, Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg held a press conference on her own announcing she would not ski this week or the next. https://www.nrk.no/sport/flugstad-ostberg-trekker-seg-fra-langrennsapningen-1.14790125 She said: - It so happens that I've ended up in a situation where I can't ski. It is very unfortunate that it has become so. Not all health requirements in the health certificate were met. This means that the best thing for me right now is to not ski. I have chosen to train a lot in the recent months. There is a risk of exercising too much and now my body needs time to recover, said Oestberg with a lump in her throat. The Norwegian athletes must regularly undergo a health check before competitions and a health certificate will be completed together with the national team doctor. Among many things, the athletes must answer questions about diet and thoughts on dieting. They are also measured and weighed, as well as hemoglobin levels, blood pressure and heart rate are measured. "... I haven't been good enough to take care of myself... I hope I can be back pretty quickly and get my body back on track", says Oestberg. Oestberg was clearly emotionally affected during the press conference over her situation. At one point she began to cry. Oestberg repeatedly explained that she did not want to go into detail, since she considered it a little too private. The coaches and national team doctor would not go into any more details other than Oestberg had not lived up to some of the health requirements and therefore wasn't fit to compete. National team doctor, Oystein Andersen, said: - As Ingvild says, It's due to health reasons. These skiers are followed very closely throughout the year and we first and foremost focus on the health of the athletes. It's our mantra. Some journalist asked the coaches and national team doctor if her weight was a concern. They would not go into many details but said it could be an issue for some elite athlete to eat enough when they train a lot. However, all clearly stated that Oestberg did not have an eating disorder.
