Men's Football UEFA European Champions League 2021 - 2022

Recommended Posts

Third time ever that there is a Greek in the Champions League final (1971 and 2004 were the other times).

Ironically in 2004 our guy (Akis Zikos of Monaco) played the full 90 minutes but was not called up to the national team for Euro 2004. We actually had a lot of good players on that team which people from other countries are not aware of, it was our golden generation that underachieved for a long time and then when they finally did something they won the whole tournament :d

And if they make entrance available to everyone, you won't have to deal with people like these brainless Liverpool morons who try to get in without a ticket :p

I do assume those people will be photographed and ID'd to make sure they don't get into any stadium anywhere for a good while :d

Oh absolutely, it seems to be organized terribly :d

But a large part of the blame does remain with people who have no ticket, but still jump over fences and whatnot to get in. Those people, who pretend to support team X even though they know their actions will get team X in trouble, are the root cause for problems :p

But it's a match between greats, how can you miss that! :p

Spoiler

You know, one of the million faceless 'matches between greats' the UEFA wants and will have even more with the new format in a few years from now :p

From what I read the invading fans were french neutrals rather than fans of either team.

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.

    • some changes in the team and less importance to the sport, the two big teams until 2022/2023 ( and ) in south america started to decrease a lot and in the other hand the 3rd in South America () is growing a lot, is really impressive. We are currently the favourites for the LA2028 quota
