Even in California, her home state, support for Pelosi isn’t high. Letting her retain the speakership could prove to be a poor choice for the Democratic Party,

It appears that Jon Ossoff and Radical Socialist Raphael Warnock (as he was called by his opponent) have won the regular and special senate elections in Georgia, respectively. This means Democrats will have control of the US senate by the narrowest of margins, 50-50 with the vice president being the tie-breaker.

Thank you, Mister President, for this January 5th 2020 statement on something Pence supposedly said yesterday or the day before.

Oh yes, good old Trump :p
LA 28 Opening Ceremony, Trump's speech: "O! O! O! O! O!" ;) - thank God it won't happen.

History will mark this day as the day when the USA stopped being a white ruled country .

Guess we'll all see how that goes

For those who argue this isn't true I say Biden is just a very old and very temporary figurehead

I have read that of the top 16 Cabinet positions selected only 4 are white  ( that is white non Hispanic and non Jewish or Gentile  )

( For those who argue otherwise in USA all Hispanics are categorised as Hispanic -even the King  of Spain . Jews increasingly call themselves non white partly so all Jews are in the same grouping )

Not to say that whites are impotent but they now will always  need non white allies to take part in government

Democrats controlling the Congress won't change Biden's narrative who will blame Trump for everything during his 4-year tenure. Let's get real, Biden will most likely be the weakest president since Jimmy Carter. Typical stopgap president to wash away the Trump years just like Carter was there to make people reset after Watergate and Vietnam war fiasco. Biden is like Teddy Bridgewater, a nice guy but with zero true leadership skills. He's a Robin and never a Batman. I wish it was 2024 and Kamala Harris running for the office because it's quite clear to me Biden is just a one-tenure guy based on his age and lukewarm appeal.

Wow, this is utterly bizarre. Trump supporters have turned Washington DC into scenes one is more used to seeing in third world country coups. Completely absurd, the Capitol being stormed by these semi-terrorists is one of the most insane things I've seen in quite a while, at least in a (so-called) developed country.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )

    • well, Cuba and Venezuela for sure...   Iran is a different question, but I hope in 2 years all this war shit is done and dusted and at least in the sports world everything is gonna be OK
    • In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
    • I wonder if all Cuba, Iran and Venezuela will be able to travel and compete in LA at all... Hopefully that yes.
    • There was some initial disappointment at first, but got over it quite quickly.    Happy for  and I hope they can win a medal in LA with their MLB players there!
