Are you registered for the Democratic pre-elections? It's not that anybody can vote in the primaries, is it?!

I was allowed to cross as someone who doesn’t endorse a political party. I’m anti-party, but most likely be registering as Green from here on out.

Lines up to 2 hours long in LA County. A lot of technology failures today. This is why we gave people 14 days to vote, but you know, Americans are dumb

Nothing dumb about wanting to vote the actual day. The systems should be up for it ;)

But what's dumb is late arriving mail ballots. Seriously, taking possibly 3 extra days before we know how the actual result?

That’s optimistic. California results won’t be known for a week of two. That’s because we prioritize counting votes, and making sure people get to vote, over giving the media shit to talk about. California has the best election system in the US, it just isn’t quick because we care about it.

Yeah, sorry. The 3 days was for mail ballots to arrive. (as apparently they just need to be stamped today)

Prioritize counting votes? Most countries are capable of doing so within  24 from closing the polling. It's not like we aren't able to do it right. Just because some states do a damn terrible job doing the same doesn't make it necessary to use a week or two to get accurate results.

Mail-in ballots are eligible as long as they are stamped before Midnight tonight. It takes so long to count votes because of the other things I mentioned (not checking IDs, overseas voting, conditional voting, etc.) We have to verify all those, so it takes awhile. Sure it’s slow, but everyone has the greatest chance possible to get a say in our government, and that’s how it should be.

@Agger There should still be enough voted counted tonight in California to know the results by the way.

Biden is projected to win Virginia and North Carolina, Sanders is projected to win Vermont (duh!).

Why I get a feeling this 'Super Tuesday' is only about Texas and California though? :p

Because California and Texas make up right around 25% of the United States total population :p. California has the same population as the 22 smallest states combined.
