Keeping on with the tennis retirements - :SWE Mikael Ymer (although to be fair he was in the midst of doping suspension so perhaps not huge surprise)

More tennis retirements. 

 

:SWE Mikael Ymer, 24 years old, retires from all professional tennis. This after he was suspended due missed doping tests. 

 

TBH  I will not miss him

Beginning to feel like this is just becoming the Tennis Player Retirement Thread but here's another one - former World Number 8 :USA Jack Sock has announced he will retire from tennis after the US Open. Although, it is possible that this will be less of a retirement and more of a switch in sport as he is reportedly set to join the pickleball tour.

Tokyo 2020 multi-Olympic medalist (gold medalist in women's time trial, and silver medalist in women's road race), and 4x World Champion :NED Annemiek Van Vleuten has retired, with yesterday's Simac Ladies Tour being her final race.

And she's now on altitude training with a 200km+ ride :p

Former double 200 meter World Champion (Athletics) Dafne Schippers (NL). Not very surprising as she’s been suffering from back trouble for years.
