4th Finnish skier in our history to win Olympic gold in Men's 50km Mass start , 1st individual Olympic gold medal in Men's skiing since Myllylä's victory in Nagano 1998

I do hope Niskanen's success won't be remembered in the same way though :p

btw always that sad feeling when I remember him, RIP Myllylä :(

:yikes: I had no idea he died, even when literally one minute ago I checked his Wikipedia page (because as soon as I read this name, I thought 'wait, wasn't that an EPO guy?', but wasn't sure, so I had to check it)...

Oh yes that fantastic race in the typical snowstorm conditions :wub:one of the most memorable winter olympics events.

Mika Myllylä will always be remembered from stuff like that Olympic gold, we finns just want to forget Lahti 2001 (Around that time at least) . The aftermath from that event was brutal to say at least.
He died as a Olympic medalist :FIN

Here we go, last final of Pyeongchang 2018 (the Olympics, at least) is about to start :(

And apparently even at the final today it was "impossible" to avoid the schedule conflicts...

    • I think the 6-team restriction is to include many new things (lacrosse, flag football, etc...) in the olympics. IOC would not want to expand the total number of players by having too much team in here.
