What is wrong with Recber? :)

I saw few fights with him where he behaved like an asshole, does not seem to be a nice person.

That is fair but I did not like how Bosnian guy fought either. He was constantly kicking below waist and Recber had injuries due to that. I do not think it was innocent from his side. All in all I would very much like Bosnia to win their first medal but we needed this medal as well, so I hope they get another chance.

For those of you watching on Eurosport Player: have you counted the amount of times the commentator (the one with the 'Scottish' accent, I think) has said "Open stance, but no open scoring" in matches where there isn't a very high score early on? :p

I have a feeling taekwondo is a young man's sport? Some real youngsters winning medals in this event.

Yeah, and rarely any 28+ medalists. Short career lifespan.

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
