I am surprised that both Braz and Barber didnt win a medal. I expected Barber to not repeat his performances from last year, but of course he still has a lot of time to prepare for Rio. In Rio it could be very interesting between Barber, Lavillenie, Holzdeppe and Braz. The level on the womens side has really exploded. About 10 athletes are able to jump 4.80 m or more, apparently there has been some new discovery. We have seen tons of junior/youth world records in the last couple of months.

Wow, what a result for our 2 athletes. Mihaljević gets bronze in shot put, Ivančević 4th in hurdles, both with PB. It couldn't have been better that that!

Powell what a mental midget once again  Unfortunate for Spanovic, but Reese showing again why she is a long jump legend, amazing last jump with all the pressure.  Also great for Mrs. Eaton, finally breaking that second place curse. Now Ashton needs to bring it home today.

That was a stunning women's long jump final...Reese exploding with 7,22 in her very last jump  

And what on earth was Konomo Kai of Japan doing with a full step behind the board at all three of her jumps?!

 

Also an amazing 800m to close of the pentathlon, what a performance by Theisen-Eaton to take the gold, even though she had a little help from Mokhnyuk
