Why oh WHY did Justine shoot like that? :facepalm: She is not a fast shooter and suddenly she wants to do a fast shooting as if it was just training, that was just irresponsible, I don't understand why she did that. That's a great opportunity for a victory completely wasted...

And Simon on the last position is also not a good choice. Chevalier should race last and Simon on second.

I agree, I feel like Chevalier is the most reliable biathlete in our relay, she has the experience (even though Braisaz and Simon despite their relatively young age already have experience in the relay, especially Justine), and her shooting is overall good.

Great result for Belarus with this 2nd place, it was nice to see their happiness at the finish!

It's hard to say, but I always struggle to bet for France in the relays, because someone usually has a meltdown. Simon and Braisaz are also pretty unpredictable shooters, even if fast, they can have good days, but they also have really really bad days.

Since Hettich and Hammerschmidt are shooting very well, Preuss is pretty good and Herrmann is regaining some of her form, perhaps I'd lean towards them? Sweden is not having too good of a time in Oberhof, so it's tough to say if they can challenge for the 1st spot. Belarus and Austria could do something on a good day.

Can I pretend that I called it? :p

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt

    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
