What a mess, the Vuelta organizers themselves don't seem to know whether or not it's a sprint or uphill finish. It was listed as sprint (there's an official list of uphill finishes) and that has an effect on the rules about how big the gaps need to be before seconds start counting.

    • It might have been even more B-level than the men's and women' wch after the olympics but still inceedible to see Australia win gold without any dedicated curling facility in the whole country!
    • the most surprising splits, however, came in the mixed 4x400m, with Paula Sevilla at 48.5 and Lythe Pillay at 43.7  not to mention the many 49s among the women
