1-2-4-5 for Kazakhstan, so surprising when sending their entire World Cup squad :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Well the course seems pretty hard too

Btw, it's as if Kazakhs expected the fog to come, since they all started early pretty much. :p

The course in Arber is hard too :d (including a huge and steep uphill to start with, way bigger than the famous Wall of Kontiolahti, followed by a technical descent so not much room to gain a lot of speed)

Ooh come on, we can't have an avalanche skiing competition? :(

On Tuesday morning the Meteorological Office, Kazhydromet, issued a severe warning for snow. The text of the warning says that due to heavy snow in the Iliisky Alatau Mountains, snow avalanches are expected on 31 January – 1 February.  Meteorologists advise to stay away from steep, snowy slopes.

Due to the heavy snow and low visibility on the pistes of Shymbulak, the Organizing Committee of the 28th World Winter Universiade  made a decision to postpone the women’s super giant, which is part of Alpine skiing combined,  scheduled for 10:00 on 31 January. The new time and date for the race will be announced later.

The women's 1500m was amazing!

Btw, i'm very impressed by the Kazakhistan's biathlon team but I mistake or i see some biathlete that compete in WC?

Kazakhstan is here with their complete World Cup team, yes :p

Ussanova, Raikova, Vishnevskaya and Kistanova is basically the team they have in World Cup relays as well (sometimes with Poltoranina instead of Ussanova/Kistanova/Raikova).

Well, things usually look smaller on TV, so I wouldn't be so sure about Kontiolahti.

According to the current schedule, women's combined slalom will be held today, while super-G will be tomorrow. :mumble:

That would be somewhat according to what they wrote:

Nothing about postponing the slalom..
