Yeah, Powell had a chance for a late rally but was clearly rushed with cue ball travelling a lot of ground. Just no experience with time efficiency in this format.

Lei Peifan beats Kyren Wilson 10-9 in the first round of the 2025 World Championships so the Crucible Curse strikes again.

 

It was a crazy match, Lei lead 2-0 before Wilson won the next six frames in a row only for Lei to win the next seven in a row to lead 9-6. Wilson pulled back at 9-9 but went down in the decider.

 

In qualifying Jackson Page became the first player to score two 147 maximum breaks in the same match.
