Positive:

Alpine Combined probably survived, Mixed parallel joke kicked out !

Negative:

They find a way to include joke events like Mixed Team Skeleton which will be competed by let say 4-5 NOCs like Germany, GB, Canada, Yuesey and maybe with some luck Austria or Italy via host quota...instead of increasing the Hockey quotas ...  :(

A new event in luge. Just so Germany can win 12 golds on this track? :roflmao:

Getting rid of alpine skiing mixed event is common sense. Everyone knows this event is decided on lane choice and doesn't have anything to do with sporting competition.

Indeed. Given how one nation won 9/10 sliding golds, I am gaslit as to how two new events get thrown in. Maybe Bach knows the answer.

IOC completely reworked speed skating after Sochi 2014. Just saying. ;)

Nordic combined got murdered as expected. Surprised they kept the relay at 4x5. Means very few nations will get to start in individual events. Unless they allow like 6 relays to start. :p

Also, did they not change the XC distances recently? Or was it just for the World Cup?

I imagine they forgot about mixed team aerials?

We literally only had 6 nations compete

Probably helped that :USA and :CHN are two of those countries (and that generally it’s an event multiple non-European countries are traditionally competing in)

Also important to note they commented on the sport’s continental reach playing a role in its selection for 2030.

That's random. It's arguably one of the most spread out disciplines with three continents winning medals in recent Olympics.

How come the continental representation is not an issue in biathlon for instance?

Actually, biathlon looks rough with only 7 nations winning medals in Beijing, as opposed to 10 in Pyeongchang and 12 in Sochi.

Yay, they really did those nordic combined girls dirty, lots of false hopes thrown around for years and probably the sport will be chopped before they get to compete.

And so much for the hosts having much influence...3 races in ski-mountaineering (with the main event excluded) instead of the 5 everyone was saying and not even a parallel slalom, or a mixed parallel event since they like them, in snowboard.
