:BOL Bolivia is surely a safe returning country. :d Their skier is very much focused on competing it seems.

:KEN Kenya should be there too in alpine skiing.

That would be amazing for our Bolivian friend, going to follow all his qualification period, but I think yeah, he will manage to qualify and return his country for the winter games :d

also I wonder if South Africa will remains in their harsh qualifying standards also for the winter games ?

I think they will, they actually were allowed to enter a skier for Sochi but they denied the possibility.

Btw, :MAS Malaysia has a very good chance to make debut, they have one very good figure skater.

:CRC Costa Rica - Andreas Hamm, a freestyle skier has a semi-decent shot at qualifying

:AFG Afghanistan - Afghanistan has a couple alpine skiers seeking qualification, more of their abilities will be seen at the Asian Winter Games next year

:UGA Uganda - Uganda has a snowboarder currently chasing qualification in slopestyle. Might be a bit of a longshot at this point

:ERI Eritrea - Shannon Abeda, a Canadian born alpine skier, who competed in 2012 at the Youth Olympics. He was very close to qualifying in 2014, but just missed the cut. He should qualify this time around

:COL Colombia - Their speed skating team should qualify at least one athlete, and their Youth Olympian from 2016 in alpine skiing should qualify

:ECU Ecuador - They have a CC skier, who is at this point a bit of a long shot, but you never know

:GHA Ghana - Ghana has a skeleton athlete who is originally Dutch, and is just outside the qualification range, but anything is literally possible

:RSA South Africa - This time hopefully Slive Spleeman gets to go! He qualified but the Olympic Committee rejected the quota. There is also a Swedish born snowboarder who has a semi decent shot of qualifying.

:PRK North Korea - This is a mystery. Their athletes usually come out of nowhere to do well in most sports. Speed skating/figure skating remain a possibility for them.

:TTO Trinidad and Tobago - Another skier (cross country) with Canadian roots, is within striking distance of qualifying.

:SGP Singapore - long shot in short track speed skating

I didn't include :PUR Puerto Rico, because they will reject the quota(s). they earn.

Of the 2014 list, :IVB British Virgin Islands (hasn't competed since 2014), :ZIM Zimbabwe (hasn't competed in a while), :TJK Tajikistan (no athletes currently competing at the qualification level), :DMA Dominica (no athletes) and :NEP Nepal (retired) are in threat of not qualifying

      • Thank you as well! Sorry for not being able to deliver the results.
      • I think we can all agree, that it is absurd for the World Cup to end in the middle of January.  Yes, there are the Olympics, but it will be a whole month without racing before it. IBSF always crams their calendar week after week, without any thought.

      • Team Event     The top 9 teams advance to the next round!   We lose the Clare Banners and the Mayo Banners at this stage.
