With the IWF cracking down on doping, North Korea was already the second best nation before Covid. The three-year isolation does make things suspicious. Considering the IWF is now testing them every time they compete (given their results), they are probably clean now. The IWF is on such a short leash that a scandal like this may kill the federation so I imagine they are keeping a watchful eye on them. -

Any idea what makes the Budapest pool so fast by the way? I know in speed skating and track cycling altitude plays a role, for example, but isn't water...you know...water? I get that it has something to do with the pool and some kind of technology, that's obvious, but not really sure what it is that can make a pool 'faster'.
