I'm just curious how we'll be able to get the flag bearers from some "dark hole of information" area like for example

Personally I think there are some better candidates, but just let them choose the flag bearer...

 

Sometimes there are countries which won't let their top athletes to carry the flag, ordering them to focus in getting the medals. Some others don't really care and want to make sure their best athlete appear in TV even if he/she is competing tomorrow in the morning . It depends on the country (and the officials). Talking about criteria in choosing the flag bearer, I think China has the best one: "must be a tall and handsome man"
