Halfway point - how do you feel about the 2026 Winter Olympics after a week of competition has passed?

Probably would not say perfect as it would not be fair with the virtual elimination of all the medal hopes of Hungarian short track even before the Olympics (departure of the Lius and injury of the best non-Lius)

But today with the gold medal of Prevc I would raise my vote to 8.5 from 8

I'm at wondering if I should sell my Olympic tickets and just do tourism in Milan and Venice while pretending the Olympics aren't happening levels of unhappy xD

 

(Not really, only tickets I'm selling are women's curling, and that's more because the logistics are gross than anything else, though I'll admit I'm more sad about not visiting Cortina than I am about not watching the finals)

Pretty cool for me, I am enjoying, it.

 

Finally excellent weather, so far any event has not been postponed (apart one women hockey game due some food poisoning)

 

Great attendances and atmosphere in the stands, a true winter olympic games I really missed.

 

 

My country: I do not care about medals, I knew we sucks so I did not expect anything, but I am pleasyntly satisfied with our youngs, both Kapustík siblings are the youngest ski jumpers here and doing very well, Hagara as the youngest figure skater made it to the free skating. The rest did not work how the lads expected, but I know everyone tried hard and did what they can in their level and actual forces. So I am not going to cry nor blame anyone.

 

Overall Sporting side: Plenty of amazing performances and high level sport efforts.

 

So many countries medalling here is another great moment. 

 

and the opening ceremony was excellent.
