Yeah, as the Olympics are heading to become more regional based rather than city based, multiple parades will likely be needed.

From a TV perspective it would make sense to focus on the main venue and then show a big shot of the other venue once all the athletes have entered like we saw with the surfers in 2024.

I hope they do something in 2028 to show off the canoe slalom and softball players

The softball teams might not even be there yet, they don’t start until day 9

The Olympic Flame lighting ceremony will take place indoors

Wednesday, November 26th is the scheduled date for the lighting of the Olympic Flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, but the weather forecast for the archaeological site of Olympia indicates a heavy chance of rain, so the Hellenic Olympic Committee had to take precautions.

Therefore the lighting ceremony will be celebrated indoors, inside the archaeological museum.

The Flame will then go to Athens, the Greek Capital, and finally will continue its journey to Rome.

It will reach the Quirinale Palace on Thursday, December 4th, where the handover ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m.

An official ceremony at the presence of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, will be held the following day, Friday, December 5th, at 11 a.m. before the Flame's journey resumes.

Thanks to the participation of over 10,000 torchbearers, the Olympic Flame will run across the whole Italian territory, finally arriving in Milan, site of the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Games, on February 6th, 2026.
