it's the main ice stadium built for the 1956 Olympics

it used to be an outdoor venues until the late Eighties, then it underwent the first big renewal, part of which was a coverage to keep up with the rules and needs of modern ice hockey

now it hosts the local hockey team (still one of the most successful in what remains of the Italian Hockey League) and a lot of curling events (national and international)

Mhm, I remember it hosting the men’s curling worlds a few years ago.

the global official test events at the new Sliding Sports Track in Cortina have been officially set

 

Bobsleigh and Skeleton will feature an International Test Period from November 7th through November 16th and then the 1st World Cup stage will be held in Cortina from November 17th through November 22nd

 

no Luge World Cup in the next season instead, but there will be an International Test Week from October 27th through November 3rd and a true competitive Official Test Event from November 24th through November 30th

for those who are interested, Yesterday in Predazzo the Small Hill competiton of the Summer Grand Prix was held on the Olympic Hill

 

all the action is on Discovery+/HBO (or whatever it's named in your Country)

who cares? we still have no chances to even look good in this sport

 

I only hope to be able to watch some great competitions in a wonderful Winter environment in a beautiful stadium filled to capacity...that's only what I need in Predazzo
