Just want to point out that Canada also got 10 golds in 2014 (so this would be the 4th time they'd hit double-digit golds). For shame, CBC. -
For me, predictions aren't to assume who will win each event, it's more to have a discussion about the leaders in each one. Especially the sports I don't really follow, to know who are the favourites. Of course nothing ever goes to plan, that's why we love sports. I just use a good prediction as a guide.

It's funny to think back how revolutionary it was for Calgary to have speed skating at an indoor venue, but I agree this is a good solution going forward for future host cities, especially in Europe where the games are likely to be more spread out where they could find a large arena/stadium to use as a temporary venue -

Ya at least from the angles we'll see on TV it looks pretty indistinguishable from a permanent venue. -

I wonder if we'll see more temporary indoor speed skating rinks going forward for big events. Feels like a prime candidate for a sport to hold on a temporary rink in a convention centre (hint hint to the French 2030 organizers). That being said, I understand why they didn't (and I'm grateful they didn't, because I wouldn't have been able to attend xD ) but I still kinda wish they had held speed skating at Ice Rink Piné, outdoors. Certainly would like to see the ISU hold more outdoor world cups.

Any updates to when the qualification document will be published? I can find a handful of sports, but I'm wondering if the combined document will be published any time soon.
