Not a great race by Japan, but it’s enough for bronze. Would have been unfortunate for this team to be off the podium (because, with all due respect to the rest of the field, there is a big gap between the top three and the rest)

On paper, I think we need 10 gold medals to finish third in the medal standings – that's the maximum the Netherlands should win in short track and speed skating at the end. We currently have 9 gold medals, so we're close – with 10 gold medals, the number of silver medals could be the deciding factor.

What a capstone for this :CAN trio. Likely their last race together, and what a way to go out.

 

I believe it is unprecedented for a TP team to repeat with the exact same skaters.
