Why is Olympic speed skating so much better than the World Cup or worlds? The only thing that really compares is the last day of a world all-round (and even then, only if its close).

No proper circuit, no marketing and events being crammed in 2 days mostly. Also 15 different World Championships and you never know who is the World Champion for what event at any given time.

For me they should completely revamp the calendar and make the season actually mean something more.

Italian athletes here are like wine, if order are better? Alpine skiing, now here.

But most wine does not get better with age :p

To put it simply: in the North they wouldn’t be considered relatives. In the South she definitely would be, since she’s the daughter of Lollobrigida’s brother’s daughter :p

yeah, to me it's still strange to call "relative" people with so small family ties

3, to be honest :p

And they're all rather different: single distance, allround and sprint.

all the great wines get better with age

That's just not true :d

Only a small 3-4% of wine actually gets better with age and there are lots and lots of great wines that simply aren't meant to be aged :p

For a Dutchman sure :p For anyone else, that hasn't been raised with speed skating in their veins it's rather confusing. Especially with World Championships every year.

For me, get rid of the sprint ones. Single distance every 2 years, before and after Olympics, while the All-round goes between them every 4 years. Strengthen the World Cup to have every stop be a 5-6 day event like a tennis Masters or something.
