Mmmm, Maderova had 3 podiums this season and is running 5th in the World Cup. 

 

Tomasiak is doing way worse in ski-jumping and had he won, it would have been a bigger surprise.

Maderova was finishing top 7 in most events this season, surely not? Ledecka was definitely the heavy favourite, almost always blitzes through the field whenever she competes in. Prevc has been almost equally if not equally as dominant as Ledecka, but Tomasiak has performed much worse this season.
