Honestly, I have some doubts about the officiating, but that might be because I’m pro-Swiss. It honestly feels like they’re much more lenient with the Canadians — it’s a completely different judging standard. @hckošicewdyt?

I watched only a part of the 1st period and just turned on now 10 minutes of the end of 3rd so I can´t really fairly judge

In my opinion half of these calls shouldn’t even be called as penalties, women should be allowed to hit, but that’s IIHF rules for you :dunno:

For what it’s worth, even as a Canadian yes I completely agree

In Europe we hand out penalties much more easily :p

:SUI team put forward a much better effort against Canada than anyone was expecting, well done girls! After the win over Czechia earlier, could really see them winning bronze :yes

Somewhat predictable result against the Americans...
Good thing Ahola clearly showed why she was our starter.

Now, we need to learn from this when facing against Czechia tonight & Switzerland later. Final preliminary round game against Canada is another story.

Spotted some Dutch athletes I guess ?. who rather watch hockey instead of speed skating. That is something else as well

Would you look at that, Finland finally has a period without a goal against lol

I just wonder, how much did the norovirus drained energy from our ladies? The hockey looks occasionally a bit too forced :mumble:

    • Assuming Venezuela loses and gives up 4+ runs, Canada just needs PR to lose and give up 9 or more runs in a 9 inning or less game. I hadn't realized one of their games went to 10 innings before. I think it's possible, but we'll have to wait and see.
